Wibbly Pig has to be one of the cutest children's characters of his time, and here all that cuteness is put to good use in a simple lift-the-flap book that even the tiniest tot will fall in love with.
As Wibbly Pig appears and disappears behind the easy to lift flaps--large enough and sturdy enough to take some rough treatment from eager little hands--the simple text quietly complements the illustrations which are the main focus of the book. This book is ideal for younger children, who will love having the story read to them as they wend their way through the flaps, as well as perfect for older toddlers who are just starting to recognise words on the page. (Ages 0 to 4) --Susan Harrison --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
Your baby or toddler will want to read it with you again and again (M&B Essential Baby Buys)

Wibbly Pig, now a well-known irresistible character, does things that every toddler can relate to (South Wales Evening Post)
Gentle and expansive, this story is an intriguing meander with words which are less of a story and more of a friendly prompt to what's happening. A lovely book to share. (The Scotsman, July 2000)
Mick Inkpen's delightful lift-the-flap book...provides a wonderful starting point for word work activities. (Child Education, 8 Aug 2001)

Light read often helps when you are on your third or fourth book of the night and ready to drop off yourself.
The books are written in a very amusing fashion with entertaining flaps that they love to open and close… woe betide you if you open one by accident and beat them to it. The illustrations are colourful and fun if not a little abstract occasionally. Once learning to read, even the eldest enjoys reading it to his younger sibling, although refereeing who opens the flaps can be tricky.
Long live Wibbly pig “and one of these”.
