It gives me huge pleasure to write a review for this title here as it is such a beautifully written book and frankly deserves as much success as possible so that as many people as possible around the world will learn the pearls of wisdom and unique insights. The overall message is one of KIS - keep it simple. Keep life simple that is. His Holiness is very contemporary in his outlook. Don't we all want a greater sense of inner freedom, clarity and happiness? I know I do. I also loved discovering so many beautiful quotes that I had never read or heard of before which appear throughout the book and this one in particular means a lot to me right now: "You must know for which harbour you are headed if you are to catch the right wind to take you there." (Lucius Annaeus Seneca).

While I am generally skeptical of spiritual books, this book is perfect for anyone who is (i) looking to make small changes in his/her life, (ii) big changes in his/her life or (iii) anyone who is managing stress, anger or loss. It's an easy read with gentle and profound advice. This book is even great for someone without a spiritual background.

I approached this title with some timidity since I have little free time to read recreationally, but caved in to its strong recommendation by a trusted friend. I was not disappointed. Everyday Enlightenment delivered very digestible, insightful lessons leading to personal discoveries that have armed me during a stressful time at work and at home. It is a welcome relief from other such books I have put down shortly after purchasing. Very well balanced, the author has a knack for delivering meaningful yet entertaining instruction without weighing it down in a religious or spiritual way. The teachings stand on their own. I will recommend Everyday Enlightenment to several friends.

I bought this book after listening to His Holiness interviewed on the radio.

The book is very simple in the way it says we should approach life and I found that it lacked any connection to lifes normal pressures and so could not use its guidance.

Theologically I wish I was completely aligned with this book but because it is so far removed from life it was impossible to start on the road outlined within.

Well, impossible for me anyway.

Is you are able to take and act on its guidance, no doubt your life would be better.

A wonderful book full of kindness and compassion, written clearly and simply. If only it was as easy to put in to practice as it is to read ! Written by a truly exceptional person with kindness and understanding.

Someone gave me a copy, and I'm quite enjoying this. I'm not usually the type to pick up a book like this, but it's filled with these unusual nuggets of insight, I have to say, it's been a page turner.

Will look out for The Gyalwang Drukpa, would be interesting to see one of his talks.

A simple handbook for anyone who just needs a small bit of guidance on how to slow things down in this fast-paced century. Usually working at breakneck speed, I find it hard to take proper 'time out' and this book is great for helping to refocus with helpful advice and practical examples. From noticing the little things in life, stopping to notice and reflect on the animals and environment around me or reminding myself how to be just that little bit more patient, this is a thoroughly modern mantra for how life should be.
