Wicked tripod. Cheap yes and materials to match yes but it works. I was after something cheap to use for reviewing as I now belong to the Amazon Vine Programme and this came up as a suggestion so I went for it.

The highest height can be seen in the photo against the door which for a small tripod is perfect.

To be honest, it is what it is but I was surprised as to how simple yet useful this is.

If it lasts me 6 months I’ll be happy but I can see it lasting longer. Comes with a Bluetooth fob to connect to any Bluetooth device to trigger the camera.

Great for a mobile phone and for use on my desk, so that I can have the phone at a different height or angle, or viewing from a different position, instead of straight ahead of me, for instance, when I am showing something to someone, or making a video about it. All adjustments work as described. Easily holds a Samsung Galaxy A40, with space in the holder for a slightly wider phone, if required.

Pairing up the supplied remote was easy and the remote will take photos or start and stop videos, as required.

With a bit of tape or a cable tie I can easily fix my webcam to it, to get a different view when using Skype or other internet service.

I don't think I would trust my camera on it, as it's just too light-weight, but for a mobile phone it's perfect.

Recommended for this purpose.

Not fit for a camera

I had to return this as with the best will in the world, and despite claims to the contrary in the listing, it is totally unsuitable for anything other than - maybe - the most lightweight of cameras. And there is no way I would trust an expensive mobile on it at full leg stretch, especially in a breeze. It is very, very flimsy. On a table without extending the legs, maybe fine but that's it.

It also came with a card in the box informing me that I could claim a £5 gift voucher if I left a review. Call me a cynic but that may account for the bizarre number of 4 and 5 star ratings for this item - even at the cheap price it is sold - it is not *that* good!

I received my purchase yesterday and have used it a couple of times now, switching between my DSLR camera, smartphone and handheld gimbal. When I opened this box I was slightly disappointed about the quality as it is cheap material, however this has fulfilled it's purpose when I've been using it. I believe the foldable size is at 36cm and the maximum is around 112cm, when mounting my handheld gimbal this has increased that maximum size and the tripod was still very stable. My smartphone is the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it fits comfortably in the phone mount provided, and the tripod is stable. When using my handheld gimbal plus my phone it creates a weight of 0.61kg and with the tripod advertised of being able to handle a maximum of 2kg the weight of the gimbal and phone cause no problems.

The bluetooth shutter remote is simple but convenient. You simply switch it on and a blue light will start flashing until you've successfully paired it with a device. There are two buttons on the front of the remote, one for IOS and the other for Android. You still have to manually set up your mobile when changing between photo or video but once you've done that you simply click the button to take a picture or start and stop a video recording.

I purely can only rate this product 4 out of 5 stars because it seems the more you extend the legs the more flimsy the tripod becomes. For the price I'm happy but I'd be surprised if this tripod lasts more than a year.

Sturdy, Simple, Strong and Exactly what I needed

I have started making videos of my card readings, but the tripod I had was awful and my phone kept falling over when I was filming. So I looked for a replacement and found this tripod, when you first get it you will think that it is too small, this was what I thought but the telescopic legs allow for various sizes, smallest one shown in the picture. The legs are worked by a pressure clamp rather than the annoying screws the others I've had used and they hold the legs at the exact height you choose.

Built into the handle is a handy spirit level which allows you to make sure that the camera is level and not filming at a strange angle.

All in all, very happy with this product

Very lighweight

Height is perfect for me
Easy to assemble

Overall al my YouTube videos look more proffesional.

Cons:
Feels a little flimsy as it's so lightweight
The bottom leg extensions are very skinny so I wouldn't suggest to use in the wind

Overall I'm very happy for the amount I paid, I just wouldn't use this outside. Its great for a budget friendly starter vlogger.
