I had high hopes after seeing the reviews but this didn't work for me. Even with the unit sitting right beside the humitidty monitor all night the readings were exceptionally high. I don't understand the magic with this as it just seems like a plastic container with some crystals inside.

    Colour changing is accurate.

    I now have one in every room. You’ll need a UK plug converter but apart from that, it's worth every penny. I tried every other brand but non worked like the Eva dry.

    I wished I had discovered this sooner. I would have saved myself a fortune.

    This little thing is handy and portable (no wires) and it can easily be hung on a bar or a radiator in the bathroom where I keep mine to stop mould from appearing but I have one pet peeve about it. I use it for the obvious reason of getting rid of the humidity in the air within the house however when the dehumidifier is "wet" (as in full of water), in order to get rid of the water, you have to plug it into the mains (Quick side note, the Eva-Dry only has a 110v plug, you will need a 240v adaptor for it to work in the UK). Upon plugging it in, it releases the same very water (into the air) that you got it to catch in the first place which kinda defeats the purpose.
    All in all, yes it does it's job, but when it comes to recharging it, I've had to purchase a plug-in dehumidifier to catch the water (steam) that the Eva-Dry releases.

    It seemed to work ok, as the orange crystals turned dark green, a pain to power to dry it out, the crystals turn dark green when they have absorbed moisture and hence need to be heated via the mains electric however the plug is USA, so need an adapter, but I have found that the crystals should turn back to orange after 12 hours on the electric socket, mine still remain dark green, so I have no idea if they will work, I’ve given up and bought a probreeze similar product which actually works as stated ie goes back to orange and is supplied with a uk plug

    I bought the Eva dry 333 Renewable Dehumidifier, for the sum of £24:16, to be use in My motor vehicle.
    I do admit that My vehicle does harbour a lot of condensation, especially on the rear window.
    Therefore I place the Eva dry 333 Dehumidifier on the parcel shelf in the rear of My Vehicle.
    As I stated earlier in this review, My rear window does had quite a lot of condensation, and since installing My £24:16 Eva dry 333 Dehumidifier, "I Still Have A Lot Of Condensation On My Rear Window's !"
    I found The Device to be "Totally Useless At Removing Condensation From My Vehicle"

    These are great. I hang one in bathroom, one in living room and one in the car.
    We get lots of rain. Feels cold and sticky in our old house, sometimes. I need a walker to get around and slide my feet alot. I notice on certain weather days when it gets harder to slide my feed on the floors. So these help somewhat to dry things up abit. Works perfectly in the car, to help soak up any moisture.

    I purchased this hoping to keep the excessive moisture buildup in my safe under control and couldn't be happier!

    About a year ago I purchased a First Alert fire proof/waterproof safe, which has an airtight seal. After I got it and read the instruction manual I found out that they state that the fireproofing materials used in the safe cause excessive moisture to build up inside the safe and suggest opening the safe on a regular basis and leaving it open to allow it to air out. This is obviously (at least for me) not practical since I got the safe to keep money and other valuables safe.

    I shrugged off their warning about opening it and placed my items inside and rarely opened it. I found out after several months that my money and other paperwork was very damp and smelled like mildew. So, then I started opening the safe more frequently, which did not help at all,, considering I live in Georgia where the humidity is already very high (so opening the safe just exposes it to similarly damp air.)

    The moisture was so bad inside the safe that liquid would actually pool on the bottom after being closed for extended periods of time.

    I then tried placing items inside ziplock bags, which did not work. Then purchased dry bags designed for keeping items dry when boating, etc, and even tried glass storage containers with ridgid plastic lids with gasket seals to place items in (this is what the manufacturer recommends). The dry bags didn't work and moisture still managed to work its way in. The storage containers worked better, but not perfectly.

    Then I purchased this Eva-dry E-333, which is the small one. I figured I didn't have that much to lose, considering that it doesn't cost very much. Well, I wish this had been my first purchase as this item works!

    The day I recieved it, I opened the safe and noted that there again was some liquid accumulated on the bottom. I placed the Eve-dry inside, along with the packing slip that came with it (to see how the piece of paper did being left inside the safe). I checked back the next day around the same time and all the moisture on the bottom was gone and paper was still crisp and dry. I then left it closed for several weeks and then checked again. This time I noted that the crystals had started to change colors (they were purple-ish-pink) and safe was still dry and paper still crisp and dry also.

    I then removed the Eva-dry and plugged it in to refresh it. The next morning the crystals were all blue again and I returned it to the safe.

    I had no problems with the plug or it falling out of the outlets. I does have a good bit of weight to it compared to a normal cord or power supply; however, if your outlets are good you shouldn't have any trouble. I had all of mine replaced about 8 years ago because many of the old outlets would not hold plugs well in general. If you have outlets like that, this thing will never stay connected, but not really a fault of the product. Using a power strip would also work fine, if needed.

    Bottom line - It works for my needs (small, enclosed space), you don't have to buy refills, and it's very affordable. I wouldn't recommend this to dehumidify a room, closet, etc, as I seriously doubt it would be that effective under those conditions. The reason I say that is that I've used regular electric dehumidifiers before, which are capable of removing a couple gallons of water every few days and although they make a difference in overal comfort, even those don't do much to lower the actual relative humidity reading within the space.
