I bought this map for a journey I'm taking around Europe this summer, so was disappointed to find out that it doesn't include Belarus, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, or Turkey. Nor does it include any of the European parts of Russia.

I can understand the absence of certain 'closed' countries like Russia or Belarus, but countries like Romania are very definitely a part of Europe, as well as being on our route, so I'm unhappy that these omissions have been made. If selling a map as 'Europe', it seems clear that this map should be of Europe and not just select parts of it!

That said, the areas the map does cover do seem properly detailed and easy to read. They do also provide a small 1:3,300,000 map of the whole of Europe, including the above-named countries, which may provide basic help.

This map will probably be fine if you're staying out of Eastern Europe, but do be aware that it doesn't cover the whole continent.

This publication was a big disappointment, the detail is inadequate to call it a road atlas and it really is'nt obvious where the toruist sites are. Most of the major motorways and roads are not even identified by name. I would not recommend this atlas to anyone. Spend a few pounds more and buy something with adequate detial.

You cannot expect an enormous amount of detail at this scale but what it does provide is enough to navigate across Europe quite easily. However you'll need to supplement it for areas you intend staying in for more than just a few days.

After buying this to help out when I'm touring in central Europe it seems that all the areas and roads I intend to travel through or on are segregated by the spine of the atlas (a 20mm coiled spring).
The coverage of the various countries within Europe are all here but the print is so small, it makes reading at a glance impossible.
I should have purchased an atlas for each country visited and not tried to cover them all with one.

I have recently bought this set of maps. And it was a good move, my sat nav stopped working in half of the France (still 500 miles to go), so we've opened the Atlas, planned the route over couple of pages and go on. It lead us directly to the target - like an analog version of GPS. The one problem I've found some of the small places are not shown on it, but this is a whole Europe atlas, so I could expect it.
