Format: Paperback
I am a first-year pharmacy student and have found that most organic chemistry textbooks have more information than I actually need, making it difficult to identify and understand key concepts. Their large size is also very impractical!
Dewick, however, provides adequate detail in a concise and easy-to-read format. This includes explained examples, useful diagrams and tables, with all key words highlighted in the text. The chapter order is logical with cross-referencing so ideas can easily be linked for a more complete understanding of the subject. The whole book is also surprisingly lightweight.
This may not be an exhaustive guide to organic chemistry, but I have found it extremely helpful. An essential textbook for any pharmacy student!

Format: Paperback
Intelligent ,smart ,clear.Even though organic chemistry may seem hard to understand,to study, with this book it's a step by step easy to progress. There are inside each chapter lovely boxes connected to the theory exposed with down-to-earth practical ready to use examples and not devoid of humour. The surface of each page is divided harmonously between text and illustration but not always in a linear way but the underlying logic will come in time.Theory, illustration, example make a clear global image of what is going on with those tiny bits when they react ,play games.I'm only a science amateur thus my thought is naïve but you should at least have a look inside this book I'm sure you won't lose time...

Format: Paperback
Book is very helpful for a pharmacy student. It is simple and concise and shows examples. Some people may not like it as it doesn't have pictures and isn't in colour.
