I purchased this book on the strength of her previous book French Home, which is one of my favorites. On first flicking through I wasn't impressed as the images seemed dull and I wasn't that impressed that it was images from homes of other interior designers/antique dealers but I gave it another go and the images are really very interesting and the homes are understandably, being antique dealers, full of interesting objects and furniture. It really is a beautiful book and of more interest as the images are not of room sets but real homes.

This is one of those books I just love to look at on a cold, wet day when I'm at home and feel I need to be inspired. Perfect when you're itching to make a few changes at home such as moving pictures, re-arranging furniture etc. The photography is fabulous. Ok, not many of us could practically live like this...but we can dream. High recommended if you love the French look.

Although there was an element of 'lovey darling', as the properties all seemed to be owned by arty or wealthy antique dealers, there are plenty of inspiring images to allow you to create your own french haven. A motivating collection of ideas.
