About the Author

Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955) was one of the greatest minds in world history. A brilliant physicist he has contributed more to the scientific world than any other person. Best known for his theory of relativity and his mass-energy equivalence, E = mc2. , in 1921 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics. Einestein’s work set the mould for how science currently views time, space, energy, and gravity. Einstein was known not only for his groundbreaking views on Physics but also for his thoughtful views on politics, religion and the interplay between science and the world.

Stephen Hawking is a theoretical physicist and, like Sir Isaac Newton before him, a Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge. He is the author of the bestselling A Brief History of Time, which remained on the New York Times bestseller list for a record-breaking 237 weeks.

Format: Paperback
This is a kind of Einstein anthology. Stephen Hawking writes the forward and apparently assembled the Einstein material here.

I have done this review today on Einstein's birthday, 14th March. A curiosity is that, in American chronology this is "3/14". But 3.14... is the number Pi. How strange.

This is an absolutely fascinating read. Can be heavy going in places and you need a good grasp of higher level mathematics. I'm currently studying advanced math so although I've read this book I'll be re-reading it once I can understand the maths a bit more. So I'm sure I'll get a lot more out of it then.

Read this if you like physics or maths.
It is also good for you if you are not a professional in this subject, although professionals also find this very interesting.
