Product Description

Escape The Fate is the self-titled third studio album from Las Vegas four-piece Escape the Fate, and includes the single "Issues". Famous for their bloodthirsty videos, the "Issues" clip is no different, featuring a deranged mob of village idiots attempting to slaughter the band.

Another great album from a highly critized band, this self-titled third album (second with current vocalist Craig Mabbitt after their first vocalist Ronnie Radke was imprisoned) Escape the fate return with more of what their fans expect and want. Fans have been long caught up in a war (ironically since ETF's last album was called This War Is Ours) over which vocalist is better, but the way I see it this mass argument is redundent. ETF have their singer, and previous singer Ronnie Radke has his new band, is ready to start anew and has a first album on the way. So hopefully now this savage internet battle will die down and people can learn to enjoy the music they like, whether its one, the other or both. Which leads me to the actual album.

It is fluent, well written, well performed and is a huge variety of different flavours. The Halo-inspired Guillotine series which has spanned three albums finally recieves its finale and it really packs the punch. Listening to all three parts together is just over ten minutes of awesome riffs, solo's, breakdowns, screams and vocals and instrumentals as a whole that displays how this band have grown. This entire album has proved ETF once again as a highly talented band who forgot their bumpy beginning long ago, and hopefully their fans, and enemies, now can too.

I didn't really like the album before this one and it took me ages to give them another chance, but this album is a lot better than This War is Ours. The guitars have gone a lot heavier and lower, but the vocals are mostly clean, which gives it a bit more originality than a band whos always screaming.
What annoyed me was the unneccesary production on the album, such as the guitar at the beginning of "Issues" and sometimes on his vocals. But these things seem like common problems with bands who have too much money to spend in the studio, and focus more on those things rather than the actual quality of their songs.
The album is also incredibly cheesy and its something I would normally hate, but for some reason I think its OK. The lyrics sound rushed and lack in depth, and the guitars are uninspired, relying largely on the open bottom string (although this is standard for "metal"). They even added some In Flames style keyboards on Gorgeous Nightmare which made me laugh.
Overall this is much better than This War is Ours, but its still far from Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, so if you were hoping for the old ETF go and buy Falling In Reverse's album (Ronnie Radke's new band)

since there last singer ronnie being sent to prision the band has just gona further and further down hill this album to me is rock bottom i dont care about the lyrics and theres nothing unique to the album its just this war is our part 2 dont get me wrong when i first heard this war is our i was exited and loved it it was a fantastic song and the album its self was ok but i found my self getting bored quickly and well with this album i tryed and found my self thinking whats the point i dont care... craig is trying to be ronnie with him copying ronnies singing style where as if you listen to bless the fall craig is a different (better singer) and i get the whole holing on to what this band was but when your copying to stay popular i loose respect and as live bands go there nothing to remember

An awesome album that really grows on you. The best of the first three and now just need to listen to Ungrateful. It works as both a rock and metal album, great guitars and singing.
