Red & Wolfe 5 out of 5 stars:
A twisted tale on the classic story of little red riding hood going to meet her grandmother through the woods and she is interrupted by the big bad wolf. Red is an out of work art critic who loves the paintings by “W”. James Wolfe is a recluse on Red’s grandmother’s island. He’s hiding out because he was wrongly accused of his wife’s murder. One thing leads to another and Wolfe needs Red to inherit the island so she can sell it to him. The rest of the story is an exotic tryst on a deserted island with a lot of suspense and who done it thrown in. You won’t be able to put it down, I didn’t! There were a few places where the story seemed to skip, but I ended up being so wrapped up with what everything going on, that it was easy to overlook the editing oversights.
Hansel 3 of 5 Stars:
In this book, Hansel and Gretel are definitely not brother and sister. Lucas has no family and moves from one foster home to another, that is until “Mother” adopts him and stars her Old Mother Hubbard type house of horrors. Leah looks like the perfect Gretel and falls victim of mother for two years. Once they escape the house of horrors, Luke and Leah are anything but normal, two halves trying to be whole. This is my least favorite story of the box set. I don’t mind a BDSM setting, but Lucas was a little too disturbed for my head to fully wrap around his story. I felt like I wanted to yell at and hit him upside his head multiple times through out the story.Read more ›

The story-line for each story is good. Each story had characters who were easy to route for, characters I wanted to see get together and succeed in their lives and romances. Each had some pretty messed up backgrounds, but they each were able to find their way as well.
The story needs a really good editor/formatter. There were a lot of errors, but I'm not certain if they were due to formatting or editing. There were a couple of times a character would be told something and the understanding made that they knew what was going on only to have that same character seem surprised when someone else repeated the same information to him/her.
Also, while I know erotica stories are meant to have a lot of sex, there's no reason to describe every sexual act every other chapter. Get on with the story. They have sex. They like it. Move on. When there's more sex scenes than not sex scenes, it feels like the story was written just so someone could play out their sexual fetishes on paper.
The bad editing/formatting of the story had me want to put down the book several times, but the sex was worse. I like erotica. I like sex scenes. However, there's a problem when I'm skipping sex scenes just to read the rest of the story - to find out what happens - and I found myself skipping entire pages of text because I was so fed up with all the sex.
Be the judge yourself though and watch for this set on sale. Pretty sure I got it for 2.99.
I would only ever buy theses boxed stories in a bundle because I HATE it when authors write short stories and you pay for a full price novel. Ella writes well and is smart and witty.
