Are You a Standing Desk User?
Topo is Designed Specifically for You.
Topo is the ergonomic anti-fatigue mat designed specifically for standing desk users. The calculated terrain features drive you to move more, which means healthier standing at your standing desk.
It's counterintuitive, but just having the raised features on the mat - the calculated terrain - causes your brain to subconsciously engage and move your feet to explore, articulate, and stretch as you stand.
And as the research increasingly shows, the true benefit of standing over sitting is increased movement. With Topo, you'll never end up standing relatively still for hours, fatigued and stiff.
Even better - unlike treadmills or balance boards, standing on Topo is not distracting, because the cue to move is subconscious.
For ergonomic, adjustable height sit-stand desk users, Topo makes transitioning from sitting to standing even easier, because the bottom surface of the Topo Standing Desk Mat is engineered to slide easily enough that you can reposition your mat with just one foot, but still stay put when you're on it.
The Topo Standing Desk Mat is 100% high-quality polyurethane foam, with a durable integral skin that's pebbled for a sublimely comfortable experience.
Another sign that this revolutionary patent-pending standing desk mat is a standout compared to all those flat kitchen mats? Topo is available in a range of colors to look great (or stand out!) under any desk.
It's hard to imagine exactly what it feels like to step onto Topo's cushioning, supportive terrain, because you've never stood on anything like it. So read the glowing reviews below from Topo's fantastic crowdfunding backers and Amazon customers. It's easy to see why Topo is the new standard in standing desk mats.

If you are someone who works Monday through Friday in an office and want to use your standing desk as much as possible in the standing position then I recommend spending a little bit more and getting a mat that will allow you to do so.
What the manufacturer says is true, the terrain of the mat is so comfortable in multiple positions that you will find yourself switching throughout the day because they all feel so relaxing. The teardrop in the middle is amazing on the bottom of your foot. You can also use the back edge of the mat to stretch your calf throughout the day which is nice.
If you already made the investment in a standing desk and now you are looking at anti-fatigue mats I can tell you from the two weeks that I have had this mat it is well worth the $120. It's a one time buy that you won't regret.
I was kind of skeptical if this mat was the real deal since there were TONS of great reviews but most of them said "disclaimer I received this product at a discount/ or free for my review". Well I can tell you that I honestly did NOT receive ANY discount and most certainly did pay the full price of $120 because my wife came up to me asking what the heck did I spend $120 on a mat for? But after I showed her the video and the product came in and she stood on it she completely understood and let me live to write this review.
Hope this helps in making your decision.
Topo addressed both of these concerns for me - because of the contoured surface and the varied angles underfoot, Topo is virtually begging you to move around on it. I often describe it to people who are curious when they see me at my desk as a "playground for my feet" and that is a pretty literal truth. The good side of that is that this constant shifting of one's feet encourages constant lower and upper body movement as well - I'm frequently bouncing, leaning, sliding my feet back and forth and just generally subtly moving almost all the time. And for bare feet, the surface is a joy to experience, with plenty of give and grip for your toes and soles to enjoy. If you love going barefoot, you'll love this mat, period.
And on top of that, the surface is not soft - it's got cushion to ward off fatigue but not enough to take away from the amount of work your legs and feet need to do to keep you upright and stable. It's a great mat for people who crave minimalism and want to strengthen their feet and legs, in the same way that going barefoot is better for strengthening and rehabilitating your feet and legs as they're designed to function.
My one caveat to recommending this mat is that it may not be right for those who wear cushioned footwear consistently and have adapted to needing that level of support. I've been a barefooter for most of the past 25 years and so my feet, calves and legs have had lots of time to become strong and not need support, and I definitely feel this mat challenging me if I have a long day with few meetings and need to stand on it for extended periods. So it might require some time to switch to a minimalist shoe or going barefoot more to build up the structures of the feet more before trying a mat like this, but it'll be well worth it if you do.
As a real world example of how much it encourages you to move, I'm standing on it as I type out this, and I've probably touched every inch of its surface in that amount of time. It's just so much fun to explore with your feet, that I can't speak more highly of it.
We had recently purchased an electric sit-stand desk from Ikea, and have brought our original purchase, the standard larger Topo mat, home, where we will share it. Thank you for this design, and for the opportunity to review it.
A thought as I complete this review; it seems that a kitchen floor mat, and or a garage/shop floor mat might be a good follow up.
