Bought this for my Mac and PC set up at home.

    - Installation
As with most of these types of devices, it's never quite as straightforward as they claim. But with a little bit of fiddling about with the supplied software, I had it up and running in about 1/2 hr. Installing the ink and actual physical set up was really easy.

    - Features
Can't complain about the features, with the one exception that there's no Cat5 port on it. There's a hole where the manual said it would be, but it;s been covered by a blanking plate. I appreciate that this is a wifi unit and not supposed to be hardwired, but it sits next to an Apple Airport Express, but I've no way to connect the two.
Personally found the Fax options a waste of time, do people actually still send faxes to each other? I've not sent a fax since 1992, and don't intend to start again any time soon. I would have preferred they didn't waste time and materials on a fax and made the unit cheaper. It also means that you have to hardwire it to a phone, which defeats the wireless.

    - Quality
Prints good pictures and scans as good as my works printer. No complaints where it really counts.

    - Build
Feels very robust, it's about as compact as you could make it and although it's not particularly nice to look at, it's not too unpleasant either

    - Overall
Pleased with this purchase, although disappointed that there's no way to connect it to my LAN other than wifi and would have rather paid a fiver less not to have the fuss of a fax.

It works. Use authentic Epson cartridges though as it really doesn't like compatible ones.

It lost a star for the speed it goes through ink, which is far too fast for my liking. Nothing like my old HP 3-in-1. However, it is a fairly compact design, sits on top of my filing cabinet nicely and the Wi-Fi works as intended, though I have a USB printer cable to.

The print quality is OK, but the black can sometimes grey out a little. I mainly print in black, so this is a bit aggravating at times, I usually have to set to high quality and this sorts it out.

I use the scanner through FastStone and it works like a charm. The copy function works well to, but I have never used the fax option. Do people still use faxes??

The instructions were clear, but a bit basic, and I have not used the accompanying CD, so can't comment on that.

This is my first multi cartridge printer (i.e. one that does not use a tri-colour cartridge) and it makes a big difference. I am very impressed with the printer in terms of speed, quality, ink capacity and general reliability. Wi-Fi works well enough once you get it set up (can be a bit of a dark art but I don't think that is necessarily an issue with the printer - depends on your Wi-Fi set up), I prefer to use mine cabled. Drivers are available for Windows and Linux (works just fine with Linux Mint) although all that printer management software can be a bit over-engineered and unnecessary. iPrint (via a web server) is an interesting function, arguably this is a bit of a gimmick but it does work (can be slow though and of course it's not a secure channel) but you can restrict who can access your printer.

I have never used genuine cartridges - I source mine from Stinky Ink and find they work very well (you get the non genuine cartridges warning but you can click through that) - I have owned the printer for well over a year and have had no problems. That said I don't do much photo printing or high end stuff - it's mainly documents I need to print.

The scanner and copier function works well, basic settings return a decent quality scan or copy but I still prefer a separate photo scanner for photographs, slides and negatives. As for the fax, I don't use that so cannot comment. The footprint of this printer is not too big either - slightly taller perhaps than your average consumer model but overall a very compact unit.

As a final note I do know someone who has this printer working with a continuous ink system (CISS) and swears by it, not something I have tried but possibly worth thinking about if you are doing a lot of work, I think you can probably kiss your warranty goodbye if you install CISS though.

I have had this printer for over a year now. The printing quality is good and the wifi functionality is great and easy to use but it is a 'high maintenance' product. Firstly, double sided printing here is only manual - i.e. you turn the pages and reinsert. Secondly, the print cartridges (even the large ones) do not last very long. Thirdly, if you leave printer turned on for long periods without printing (unintentional but it happens) or don't replace cartridges on time, the printing nozzles can dry out - possibly leading to inability to print in the given colour (apparently this is a feature of the design). Now I was able to rescue this situation with a few days of using the nozzle/head cleaning coupled with application of wet cotton bud (I looked up technique on youtube) - but I was almost ready to give up on it as it was unable to print black for about a week. So if as me you like to eek out the last little drop from printer cartridges, or decide not to replace a particular cartridge for a while and forget to turn it off; this is not the printer for you. If on the other hand, you are a diligent neat soul, you'll probably love this machine. I am learning to become a bit more diligent and attentive..
