I have just started using this ink (with my new printer) and I am very pleased with the results. The colours are superb and bring out the clarity of the photographs. The colours are true and I have had had excellent results with my photos. The prices are high I know, but it's good when there is a reduction and they are then on line with compatibles! I much prefer to buy Epson ink cartridges and especially when they are reduced.

When you buy inks to replace it for your Epson printer it is much better buying the brand inks itself than those clone inks, e,g print head getting clogged with the cline inks.

Yes, buying the clone inks for your Epson printer maybe cheaper, but the quality of the colours sometimes aren't as vibrant as the Epson inks itself (depending what economic inks you buy). Also the clone inks, in time, the colours will fade (noticeable in a photo picture). Meaning you have to reprint another one to replace the faded photo which is going to cost money. So why not splash out a descent Epson inks in the first place and save the hassle of reprinting it again.

The reason why i gave it only 4 stars is because of the price, apart from this the Epson's inks are superb quality and you should really get these, than the clones.

I will reconmmend buying this Espon six pack inks as it is alot cheaper than buying it seperate.

In Sep'07 I bought a multi pack thro' Amazon which was supplied by seller ext360. These were supplied in a jiffy bag with no outer packaging. Subequently two cartridges would not be accepted by my printer and appeared to be slightly different in appearance from the empty cartridges. As I was outside the 90 day warranty period neither Amazon or Epson were interested in my problem.
My advice to anyone not receiving the correct TO487 packaging is to reject the order & inform Amazon immediately.

Very happy with this excellent product. Far better that spurious cartridges which clogged my printer and cost me time and effort, paper and replacement inks. At times I even had to take printer to Epson to be professionally cleaned, all adding to my stress and frustration and anger. No matter what the manufacturers of other makes state, I have tried a few but they all the same - eventually they clogged my printer, job stops yet again.

I print a lot of photographic images and Epson inks are brilliant, excellent colours etc. However it is time they looked at their costings, they are far too expensive. It is getting to the stage where I cant afford them so my next choice of printer will be based on running costs as well as on performance. It is more than likely that I will be purchasing from one of Epson's competitors. If everyone did this Epson would have to re evaluate their inks.

I bought the Epson stylus photo R300 with the original ink cartridges

no problems at all, tried a cheaper make of ink cartridges picture quality was terrible nozzles would always get blocked.

For £40 this is a bargain compared to how much I'd have to pay buying these from a retail store.

I've always used genuine Epson inks as I know other people who don't and invariably their printers stop working after a while.

The only issue I have is that the inks seem to run out quite quickly, well after a lot less prints than the advertised expectancy. This may be because I don't print that much or that often so they dry up. This is what another reviewer suggests and I tend to agree.

Whilst genuine Epson cartridges give superb technical results and are better than cloned cartridges they are extremely expensive!
I had one printer trashed by clones.
The Epson software won't let you print in Black & White/text if one colour cartridge is empty! It nags you when they are low.
It has been noted elswhere that are not really empty when the chip inside says they are.
If you don't use the printer a lot they do dry up in the printer.

At these prices and with this quality why buy compatibles? Have tried others but the Epson originals are by far the best colour - and seem to last longer too
