This book is, quite simply, supurb.
Set in both modern and anchient Scotland this book deals with the passage of time and tradition. It's pages are alight with adventure and allow adults, as well as young children, an insight into the hearts of its characters, and how they change with experiance.
As if to sweeten an already suger-filled deal, all profits made from the book go to CHAS. How awsome is that. I expect Foreman's debut novel to be a best seller, and look forword to more publications from this new and yet most talented children's author.
I would recomend this to anyone with even a small interest in Scottish history, as well as someone who simply likes fantasy adventure stories.

To the end of the world is the best book i'v read in a long time, and i love reading. You just don't want to put it down. It starts very different to what its actually about. My dad started reading it and said it was too kiddy, but he was so wrong. Colin Foreman has made learning about history and the past, of how battles changed the lives of so many people, actually interesting.
It's set in Scotland where three kids go to live with there grandparents and from then on, the adventure beginS, a story of courage, fear and heroes is unravelled!

The latest self-published gem, I bought this and thorughly enjoyed it. A great plot, and a fantastic jacket design. After the success of G P Taylor and co, Foreman is an author to watch!

An exceptionally well written book .A gripping plot which is reasonably easy to follow as it jumps from present time to the past through generations of the Donald family.I will certainly be reading the whole series.

Got this for my daughter who is a book worm. She loved it and I had to buy all the next 3 books in the series. Then I started reading it and I found it really good (if a book doesn't catch my attention it does not get read to the end). Well Im on my 3rd book. They are really good adventure books, quite original and a little gory.
