Enjoyed this book about Sam who is left a detective agency by his late uncle. In the first book, Sam is looking forward to working on cases when he's confronted by Hartman, alpha of the strongest werewolf pack and asked to find his missing 4yr old daughter. Sam really doesn't want to deal with paranormal cases but as it's a child he feels bad and agrees to take the case. Next thing he knows there's a vampire named Bob knocking at his door is response to his add for a spare room for rent. Bob instantly falls for Sam and is determined to help him solve the case and close to him. Then you also have a gargoyle who sits on Sams desk offering up comments on how he should proceed and to top it all you have Teddy a ghost who also lives there and offers comments and help in cases. Book 2 continues with the case involving the missing were foul child and Sam, Bob and the alpha have to ask the help of Hartmans ex boyfriend who is a daemon, and they also help naiad, a troll and other paranormals. It's a good read with a good plot to boot

Just okay. Set in a Buffy-like universe with pretty predictable plot. Lots of insta-lust turning to love in an hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars A treat! 17 Nov. 2015

I read gay, paranormal, love stories often. I must admit that I didn't know what to expect here......but it turned out to be one of my favorite reads in a long time. I can't wait for the series to develop and we get more of everyone. Don't miss this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice story, but a bit shallow. 28 Feb. 2016

Good story, lacks depth however. Would've been more interesting if character development was emphasised over content. Lots of potential, hope it gets better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting series 25 Dec. 2015

This series is perfect. It's a mix of mystery, paranormal, and romance. It's perfect. I have to have them all. Sam is the perfect hero. He has something special about him but is in denial. He dislikes paranormal but he protects those that need it. He is very admirable. Bob is quite the character too. I enjoy his humor and his loyalty.

This is a melange of Gay, Vampire, Werewolf, Fae, Troll and more in two short stories that tell of Sam Enderson's legacy to start a Detective agency. However, the first would be client ( a witch) is turned away and leaves Sam with a love curse and a stone gargoyle to go with the building's resident ghost.. entertaining
