From the Inside Flap
What sets professional traders apart from the rest of us? It isn t their education and intelligence. It is the strategies they use to make winning trades. But there is no good reason for the pro tools to stay within the industry, and author and international trader Gary Norden reveals them in the pages of An End to the Bull.
Many trading books focus solely on technical analysis, leaving the reader with the sense that making good trades is just a matter of watching the right indicators. This approach might be successful in bull markets, but what about the rest of the time? An End to the Bull is a book for all markets, and the concepts presented here are absolutely necessary for investment success in turbulent conditions.
Gary reveals that professional investors are deeply sceptical of technical analysis. Rather, it is real market analysis, knowledge and discipline that lead the way in large investment decisions. As a private trader, you can t expect to win if you aren t playing by the same rules as the big banks. In this book, these rules are presented in a way that anyone can understand, so individuals finally have a fighting chance at high–performance trading.

MASTER THE SKILLS OF TRADING
It is estimated that 80 per cent of private traders lose money. The explanation behind this shocking statistic is that most investors are still using training wheels when compared to the professionals. If you ve been following rules of thumb, pure technical analysis and your broker s sales pitches, but you haven t seen the returns you d like, then you need to read this book.
An End to the Bull is a no–nonsense guide to investment strategies and tools that everyone can and should use but few are. The big banks don t trust charts and graphs alone, so why do you? Inside, Gary Norden uncovers how trading really works, so you can win in any market.
With this book, you will:
- learn why your investment strategy hasn t been paying off
- find out how to tell the difference between noise and real information
- discover high–performing financial products for any market condition
- develop a strategy for learning from your losses
- understand volatility, behavioural finance and other advanced concepts.
The pros use the techniques in An End to the Bull every single day. You don t need a supercomputer or a PhD in economics to invest successfully. All you need is the right set of tools and the determination to stop being duped by the financial junk food industry. With this book, you will finally have everything you need to trade like a professional trader.See all Product description

This book will not teach you how to trade, if that's what your looking for look elsewhere. What this book does is give you the correct information for you to build the foundations enabling you to trade freely. Turn your charts off and see the markets for what they really are. Knowledge is key
Having said all of that the book is interesting to read regards his trading insight and experience and to be fair to Gary says this isn't a 'how to trade' book. However, he is giving enough away to drum up interest I think (trying to have it both ways) and I get the sense from his videos and this book that until you pay for his training courses you ain't getting anything useful. My concern is do you get anything useful from his training courses - I can find no feedback on his courses.
Reading this book, anybody can see the hands-on experiece of a pragmatic professional. I think this is the best book for a serious introduction to trading with a sound exposition of what this world is about, putting knowledge at the core of a trading career, full of leads to what worth further research and study, there is a strong emphasis on the need to put effort on learning and learning, and learning. It seems that with every single line, the author is telling you, hey, this is hard ball, it is not impossible to play and even win, but get ready to sweat your way to it.
I have been trading this kind of approach with success even before discovering this book and found that it has helped me improve my skills with more concepts to think about and apply before putting on a trade.
My conclusion is that most of what I've learnt over the years is 90% bull and Gary's book is the first stepping stones to taking the right path but as I've already said it's up to you to do your own home work.
I have read a number of trading books that all focus on the same TA approach that I now know, puts the retail trader at a disadvantage. If you are serious about trying to make it as a trader, you must add this book to your collection.
