First off the mouse in this bundle is very nice, the mouse fits nicely in any hand and changes colours from green to blue to red. Green being the lowest DPI setting and red being the highest. There is also a nice very flexible mouse mat which appears to have a slight glow in the dark. The 2 buttons on the sides of this mouse are good but for me (a right handed person) the button on the right of the button is hard to access and i dont use it in games.
The keyboard is one of the best i have seen. The material it is made from is plastic but around the sides the plastic appears to be coated in a soft-ish rubbery material. But do not be put off the plastic keyboard like most other keyboards looks very stylish and not tacky at all!! The lighting show is great when playing music it changes to all sorts of colours and appears to be changing to the music itself. The gaming numpad was hard to get used to but its very nice once you have, it has the ability to swivel around to fit your hands best position.
BUT be warned this does not work with Windows 7. I have written to Emprex requesting an Windows 7 update but so far no luck. When i say the keyboard does not work with Windows 7 i mean for me the keyboard and mouse work great and function perfect with the DPI changing when i press the button. But the dynamic lightshow software which changes the lighting to the music does not work(will not install from the CD). I still get the lighting changing colours but not to the sound on my PC which is disapointing.
I only changed the mouse because, well because. The mouse is still fully functional and works well.
The keyboard still works as well as the day I bought it. Aesthetically the black edging around the keyboard has started to wear, but still, nothing extreme.
The keyboard works perfectly. I didnt particularly use the functions of the bundle to their full potential however the backlight on the keyboard is the main reason I continue to use it.
The backlight is a great feature when on the PC in the dark, my keys change from blue to red dependant on the speed in which I type.
Keyboard has been on the fritz for about as long as I owned it, the wire can move and disconect from the computer for a whilst, somtimes requiring movement to get it back in business, im unsure how long this will work for.
The coating on the outer edges was nice at first but came off with a little help from my hand sweat (and I don't sweat as much as other guys do from their hands) and my cats claws.
Other than that the features it comes with are quite good, the extra keypad on the side is slightly better than having a number pad and is more about not having to move your hand much than sheer ergonomics, although stretching fingers out can take some dexterity.
overall this isnt a bad package, I have quite enjoyed using it and would recomend it as a cheapy keyboard for gamers new rigs, but only if they plan on upgrading their stuff after a whilst.
The item arrived well packed and after reading the reviews was a little worried about it not working properly with win 7 (im using ulimate 64bit).
First the rodent or Mouse. this feel's great fits very well into my hand. The buttons work very responsivly and a good "click" on the wheel. And the DPI change is fine as well with excelent tracking. The software for the mouse is very good as well enabeling you to taylor it to left or right with all the settings you would expect on a much higher priced product.
Ok the keyboard. The key's feel very responsive with a nice "click" and feel slightly ruberised so good grip (no finger slipping).
The lighting i would like to be able to select a colour still looking to see if i can fix/mod this. With Referance to the lightshow and win 7 after a bit of playing with drivers some from the web and playing with what i had on the cd it works no problem how i sorted it still not sure but it works!!!
As to the extra gaming keys they take a bit to get use too but im sure i will.
The only item i miss on the keyboard would be a sepperate number pad.
Now yes i would like a better keyboard (Razor/G19 ect) i can not justify or afford that sort of money.
And for what i payed for this including a mouse i would recomend it to anyone.
Now will i play any better only time will tell.......
