Don't waste your money on this game and , the graphics are similar to Settlers I. It is so dated you can smell the mothballs. After 3 days I have uninstalled it and put it in the charity shop box.

dont make the same mistake i did i thought that 1 and 2 were realy good so 3 would be amazing ..... the truth is that 3 is a digresion of the first one. The graphics are horrible as they are chartoony the game play is simplified and the responces from your troops is really anoying!!!! unlike the simple "yes's" and "certainly" each troops blabers on about either being stupied or superstious.
Overall i think empire earth have cheaply made a 3rd empire earth on the reputation of one and two knowing that poeple trusted number 3 would be good.

I purchased this game from Gamestation today(well, yesturday now lol) for £19.99, i chose it over: Hellgate London, Shadowrun, Quake Wars, Juiced 2. out of all of them i chose the worst one. The original Empire Earth was great, this one is not. It has cartoony graphics, corny dialogues, shallow gameplay, unrealistic feel... its aimed at children i'm guessing. I am going to plea with Gamestation for a refund/exchange tomorrow if i can. I don't think i'd sell it on Amazon and let someone else waste their money and hopes. Please do not buy.

Empire Earth (EE) 1 was, and still is a fantastic game where you could play for hours and still be no further forward. EE 3 however is a totalyy different game. The graphics have marginally improved but the presentation of buildings makes it feel as if it is aimed at children around 6 years old.

Similar to other people who bought the game, I was bitterly disappointed and uninstalled it within days of installing it. A poor effort by the creators.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!

Played the demo. The Idea of being able to conquer the globe one region at a time is good.
The actual real-time play is dissapointing.
The graphics are a major let-down, too cartoony if they had used an engine similar to company of heroes or C&C3 then this would have been
a complete joy, instead they opted for the clunky large unit look, no craters left in ground, even Rise of Nations(Original) could manage this.

The unit voices dont sound too authentic and accents seem like they
used the first recording without giving it thought.

The music is good but could be better
The interface is nice and streamlined and didnt have any trouble learning
how create units and build structures.

This feels to me like a mishmash of RiseOfNations and Warcraft 3 and something else and
I think the target market is for the under 12s but anyone older looking for something more look somewhere else.
The whole demo experience left me hollow and wanting.

Ive played many RTS games good and bad and know when I come across an average game.
The full-version might be better but
for now im avoiding.

The EMPIRE EARTH series have always been trying to occupy the ground between the CIVILIZATION and the AGE OF EMPIRES franchises. Their downfall was mostly their over-complication - in this way, limiting their audience. So EE2 (although a great game!) come and went mostly unnoticed; this was the release that should have been the comeback. Well, it managed to come back as AGE OF EMPIRES 2½ - at most..

There are a number of "innovations" in this third installment. One of the first thing you may notice is the global perspective. In a (real or randomly created) planet earth map (similar to the one in RISK III, although more detailed and interactive) strategic movements and provincial decisions are made. Improvements are built and battles are fought in the provinces level, in maps both detailed and beautifully rendered.

The graphics you will either love or hate! Whereas AGE OF EMPIRES III went the way of unit realism, EMPIRE EARTH III features clear "cartoonish" units (similar to greatly improved versions of WARCRAFT III units) with detailed natural movements. Buildings, aided by their size, are much more realistically designed and...destroyed.
Weather effects are a nice touch. The first time it snows and everything turns white you may find it amusing. Then you will realize it actually makes it harder to discern both units and the outline of your own camp!
Zooming is possible, yet it too manages to feel uncomfortable as the camera movement follows a parabolic trajectory.

There are three cultural spheres of influence (Western, Middle-Eastern & Eastern) within which you can either choose or customize the civilization you will control. Each civilization group features its own tech tree and the gameplay is pretty much balanced.

I was extreamly dissapointed with this game. When i saw it in the shop i picked it up right away as i have enjoyed playing Empire Earth 2 many times in the past, i thought this would be even better. ..How wrong i was. It was an extream let down the Empire Earth games. It makes for no fun at all, and while some things that are unrealistic, as are occassionally present in EE2, can be fun, this game just greatly overdoes it. Also, the design of the buildings and units in the game are nothing more than an absolute insult to the eyes, it is a humongus disaster to watch. I do not recomend anyone to buy this game, well, at least not unless you enjoy games which are entirely unrealistic, and stupendously boring.
I will just stick to Empire Earth 2, and i wish i'd never wasted the money on EE3.
