This is the second book in what is supposed to be a trilogy about the ups and downs in the very exciting life of Emma Le Goff. I really enjoyed the first book ( To Turn Full Circle ) and this follow up is just as good - if not better. Brilliant characters that keep you turning the pages long after you should have turned the lights out and gone to sleep! I'm hoping book three will be published soon as I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Emma Le Goff makes a feisty return in a novel which is a sequel to Linda Mitchelmore’s debut novel, ‘To Turn Full Circle’, but which is also a thoroughly enjoyable ‘stand alone’ story. Despite the shadows of the past which haunt Emma - even when a happy future seems assured - she maintains her characteristic courage, humour and lack of self-pity and holds tight to her dearest friends. Emma’s loyalty to her loved ones is severely tested when the charismatic Matthew Caunter returns to Devon and she is forced to look deep inside herself and decide what she really wants. Linda Mitchelmore is a superb story teller, bringing her characters so vividly to life that one scene in particular brought tears to my eyes. I’m very intrigued to see what Emma does next!

Emma Le Goff has had her ups and downs throughout life, with many hard times, but now things are looking more positive. This is because Emma is set to marry her childhood sweetheart Seth Jago, and they are both dreaming of an idyllic existence together. However, their dreams of a heartache-free life are further out of reach as Emma continues to be haunted by the mysterious circumstances that surround her family, and Seth is hounded by a jealous ex-lover who is set on revenge. While Seth plans their escape from everything to Canada, the handsome and charming Matthew Caunter appears in Devon, and Emma finds herself unsure of what she really wants....

Since finishing reading this I have discovered that this is actually book number two in the Emma Le Goff series. Whilst it is in a series, it can be read as a standalone just as I have done, and it is very easy to get into and to understand. Now that I have read it I'd like to go back and read the first book in the series, "To Turn Full Circle", so that I can learn where the characters originally started from and the circumstances that brought them to the places and situations that they are in for the second book, as well as learning more of the character's background.

I really liked Emma as a character, she really shone through and I could hear her voice coming from the pages. I loved her personality, she was feisty and determined and I found myself wanting things to go right for her. I especially liked that Emma had dreams and hopes for her life with Seth.

There are some very interesting secondary characters in the story, and some of them along with other issues and problems are sent to try Emma and Seth and put a strain on their relationship.

This is the second book in a trilogy I believe, the first one being "To Turn Full Circle" of which I've read and thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't think the escapism factor would continue and that it would lose momentum..... but if anything, if it's at all possible, this book was even better ... a compelling and absorbing book with a powerful storyline to which I liken to the Lesley Pearse stories... I can't wait now to read the third book .....

A heartwarming sequel to To Turn Full Circle. I was so pleased to meet Emma and Seth again and see their love develop and watch their story unfold. I have to say there were a few surprises too, though I can't of course give them away here. I can't wait for book three. I hope there is a book three. There MUST be a book three or I will camp on Linda's doorstep until she writes one!

Couldn't wait for this to come out so I could find out 'what happened next' ... I wasn't disappointed. Now I'm waiting for the third in the trilogy, so I can see 'what happens next'! Highly recommended to anyone who loves a good read with a gripping story. Well done Linda Mitchelmore on a brilliant piece of writing

A sweet, romantic story with a heroin struggling for independence but also her love for the lovely Seth. We all feel with them
as they try to overcome their considerable battles for their happiness. I learnt a lot about West Country traditions which were
cleverly woven into the story. Well written and very entertaining!
