--Peter Roth, Energy Stew radio
"We are given, excitement, mystery, deception, beautiful moments.... I found the story to be more about gaining a deeper connection and being more conscious to the effect we have on the things around us. It is for sure an enlightening tale that leaves you a tad sad but feeling that you witnesses something magical."
--Hooked in a Book
"As a stand-alone fiction book "The Emissary" is one hell of a good story, but read between the lines and you'll discover so much more! Patricia Cori's inspirational protagonist, Jamie Hastings, has much to teach us all--and while the book may be set in the often unchartered territories of whales and dolphins, it carries a powerful message that none of us can afford to miss. As I was drawn into the well-written, intriguing and un-put-downable tale, the figure of Erin Brockovich kept coming to mind. And I have no doubt that in the future "The Emissary" will be turned into one of those films that we'll look back on as a world game-changer."
--Olivia Stefanino, author of "Be Your Own Guru: Personal and Business Enlightenment in Just 3 Days!"
""The Emissary" packs a delicious adventure filled with intrigue and secrets and whisks you off on a ride that you don't want to get off. Through the story that unfolds it also invites all of us to look at the role we play in our evolving world. Through the fast-paced events that occur, deftly led by our heroine Jamie Hastings, readers are guided to become emissaries as well--sent on a very special mission that is born from author Patricia Cori's passion in the world. That mission for some may be to curl up in a chair, to give themselves a respite from life's demands, and get lost in the voyage of "The Emissary." For others, the special mission becomes a journey of self-exploration, of appreciation of all creatures great and small, and an invitation to fully embrace our roles as ambassadors of our planet. It's a story of hope, dedication, and perseverance. But more, it's a story of love between a very special woman and those who create the songs in our waters. May we use the messages contained within "The Emissary" to help us ensure those songs continue forever."
--Christine Andrew, Enlightening Radio
""The Emissary "is a 'cannot-put-it-down' book. Its tale of a world drowning in self-interest and greed, out to destroy the very guardians of that world, the Cetaceans, starts the reader on a roller coaster of excitement, intrigue, and race against time. Patricia Cori's pace, vivid imagery, and sensitivity skillfully unfurls a deepening, gripping, and horrifying tale. For those who love this blue marble, I challenge you not to be so absorbed that you will want to read it at one sitting. A story never riper to be complimented as a thunderingly good screenplay, "The Emissary"is a modern day masterpiece. Belt up and love the ride!"

Patricia Cori’s The Emissary is a ‘cannot put it down’ book. Its tale of a world drowning in self interest and greed, out to destroy the very guardians of that world, the Cetaceans, starts the reader on a roller coaster of excitement, intrigue and race against time.

From the outset characters speak to us from the eclectic diversity tied up and confronted by humanity’s inevitable self annihilation. Heroine Jamie Hastings, an enigmatic latter day shaman and passionate environmentalist, whose insights and other dimensional awareness help solve dead cases for a LA Police Department at the end of their tether. Her first love is for whales and dolphins and witnessing their inexplicable death of hundreds on a beach disaster brings her to the attention of darker corporate self interest. An appointment with destiny is thus sealed and we are riveted into her journey to its conclusion. Becoming immersed in the lives of each character, so familiar to those we ourselves may know. Patricia’s pace, vivid imagery and sensitivity skilfully unfurls a deepening, gripping and horrifying tale. For those who love this blue marble, I challenge you to be so absorbed that you will want to read it at one sitting. A story never riper to be complimented as a thunderingly good screenplay, The Emissary is a modern day masterpiece. Belt up and love the ride!

Touching on so many aspects of our world which speak to me personally like whales and dolphins and the connection between all of nature this story had me gripped from the very beginning. I am sure humanity as a whole longs to remember and experience this exquisite underlying connection between each other and all of life, and are finding it ever more challenging to live in a world based on the structures of 'the bottom line before all else'. This story explores the potential of the intuitive feminine standing up for the Earth and all her inhabitants going up against the power hungry bastion of the masculine. Its a fast paced story which will keep you gripped until the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read 25 Mar. 2014
By bunnyrabbit4 - Published on Amazon.com

Is "The Emisary" a factual warning or fiction? I think most people who are science buffs and familiar with the work of Nicola Tesla are convinced that his energy weapons and HAARP didn't just disappear. And as chemtrails drip in the sky before each day of rain, it becomes obvious that the permission of congress and the people is not needed for questionable and even deadly experiments to be conducted by corporations and the military. We know that the military is using sonic weapons for protest dispersal and it is a fact that their sonar does painful if not deadly damage to whales and dolphins. Add to that assaults on their ecosystems, like the BP disaster, with its spraying of millions of gallons of poison into the gulf and you have a very factual basis for a story about dolphins warning us of the cataclysm we are unleashing.

The book reminded me a bit of what famed UFO researcher and computer engineer Jacques Vallee did after coming perhaps too close to the truth behind UFO's. He too turned to fiction in his 2007 book Stratagem and a conclusion about the nature of some ET's that is not unlike Cori's assertion. Fiction is not only more interesting than fact, it is safer. Four stars because it took a chapter or two for her to find her voice and the ended needed a bit more foreshadowing, but generally a good page turner and first effort at fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great book by Patricia Cori - I couldn't put it down! 8 May 2014
By Sue Stroh - Published on Amazon.com

I have read just about all of Patricia's books and have been enthralled by every one. In this one, done in novel form, I found it well written and exciting - a thriller too exciting to put down. I finished it in two days and then gave it to my husband and he loved it too. I am an advocate of Dolphins and Whales, and was devastated when I heard about them beaching themselves by the hundreds and dying! Now I know why! I also know Patricia was involved in helping to set up a charitable foundation for them at the time. I saw a lot of "her" in the main character of this book. Perhaps more people will become aware of what is really going on in Alaska, and all the secrets our military are keeping from us. They are the ones causing these disasters with our oceans and the weather ( H. A. R. P). - It's NOT what they claim it to be......

5.0 out of 5 stars Excitedly waiting for the next book! 23 April 2014

Cori does a great job of expanding the readers' understanding of cetaceans and their critical role on the planet. This fast-paced novel of mystery and suspense, highlighting governmental secrecy, greed and power, causes readers to wonder about what we really know regarding our oceans and the life within it. This cleverly written book introduces modern-day environmental concerns and provides a compelling platform to consider "alternative" explanations that are kept from the general public. It effectively depicts the critical juncture we are at in society regarding high-level technology and the potential for devastating and cataclysmic effects, if used without regard for other life-forms and the earth. I found myself wondering about the characters after the book ended, looking forward to reading more adventures involving Jamie Hastings! This book will inevitably raise awareness about things that are not addressed in the mainstream and potentially cause readers to see the world through a new lens...this timely book should not be missed!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reading! 7 May 2014

I couldn't put this book down. I cannot help but think that there is quite an element of truth in this story even though it is a writing of fiction. Even if a small piece of the information provided here is truth, then we must all come together to defend the whales and dolphin beings from being destroyed by the ultra-sonic waves we subject them to under the water and on top. There are still some who would hunt them down to kill them for their flesh, not knowing that they are also killing themselves by stopping the whale song keeping the planet Earth stable and safe. I think this 'Novel' should be read my many and discussed at book clubs throughout the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful book! 5 Mar. 2014
By J. Davis - Published on Amazon.com

I received my pre-ordered copy of The Emissary yesterday, and read it cover to cover in one sitting. It is fast paced, and well written, and kept me thoroughly engaged.

It resonates deeply with me, both philosophically and spiritually. I have been sending healing energy to the world's oceans for years, by charging crystals with Reiki, and then placing them (hidden) in the reef systems while scuba diving.

Her empathy for the ocean's cetaceans and other creatures is heartfelt, and by bringing some of our thoughtless and self-serving practices to light through this novel, she is helping to raise awareness in those who may care, but may not know the effects on our world. I have long felt that our ocean friends are keeping the balance on our fragile blue world. It is good to know there are others who share these views!

I am delighted to know it will be a feature Film, too! I can't wait.
