About Emily Harvale
Emily writes novels, novellas and short stories about friendship, family, the things life throws at us, and falling in love. She loves a happy ending but knows that life doesn't always go to plan. Her stories are sure to bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart. She is a full member of the Society of Authors and since her first book was published in 2012, several of her books have been best sellers.
Emily lives in East Sussex, UK, minutes from the sea in a town called Hastings - famous for the Battle of 1066. The stunning surrounding countryside and quaint English villages often appear in her books. Emily lives with her rescue cat, Portia, and when she's not writing, she loves to read, cook, drink (too much) wine with her friends, and potter in the garden of the house she's recently bought. She also loves skiing, adores frolicking in the snow, and is a self-confessed lover of Christmas - which can't start too early, in her opinion.
Emily loves to connect with her readers and has a readers' group in which many have become good friends. To catch up with Emily, or find out about the group, visit https://www.emilyharvale.com or connect with her on social media: https://www.facebook.com/emilyharvalewriter

Portia’s getting married and wants wedding planner, Bree for her ‘Big Day’. But Bree has more bookings than she can manage … and she’s seven months pregnant. Best friends, Mia and Ella offer to help, but is that a wise decision? Or will it put a strain on all their relationships?
This isn’t the only wedding being planned in Seahorse Harbour, and when rumours fly, tempers flare. Will Portia’s dream wedding turn into a bit of a nightmare for everyone? Or will they all get their ‘Happy Ever Afters’?
This is book 6 in my series of novels set in the tiny, seaside village of Seahorse Harbour.
Saffy and Libby Verdant have one ambition – to turn Verdant Hall into the hotel of which their late parents had always dreamed. And they’re almost there. The once grand, country house that was more of a ruin than a welcoming retreat when their parents passed away three years ago, is now about to open to guests.
Adam Wynter adores his family, but recovering from a broken heart is hard when you’re surrounded by your brother and sister’s own ‘happy families’. Spending the summer as a member of good friend, Rory Wilde’s hot air balloon team, was the break Adam needed. But now it’s time to go home.
Except Fate has other plans. An unpredicted storm and a fault with Rory’s state of the art equipment sends the hot air balloon crashing into Verdant Hall, damaging a row of Queen Anne chimneys, knocking several tiles from the roof, and finally, decimating the beautiful gardens.
Rory’s insurance will cover the cost of any damage, but what Saffy and Libby need is some immediate help. The least Adam and Rory can do is stay and lend a hand.
Besides, there’s something rather appealing about the Verdant sisters.
But Saffy and Libby aren’t interested in meaningless flings and Adam and Rory soon get more than they bargained for with these two very determined sisters.
The balloon might not be in the air – but perhaps Love is…
This is a spin-off from the Wyntersleap series.
When Mikkel Meloy discovers Seahorse Harbour Holiday Park together with half of Little Wood, is up for sale, he knows he has to buy it. Mikkel needs a project to take his mind off his recent heartbreak and he’s got big plans to transform the rundown caravan park and the tranquil area of woodland into a holiday haven of eco-cabins.
Unfortunately for him, he's not the only one interested in the place, and as the eldest daughter of the owner of the chain of hugely successful Trulove Hotels, Portia Trulove isn’t used to anyone getting in her way. Sparks fly the moment Mikkel and Portia meet but neither can deny the instant attraction between them.
Despite Mikkel not being entirely sure he’s over Diana Dunn, the woman who recently broke his heart, and Portia making it clear she’s not about to fall in love with anyone, it isn’t long before those sparks turn into flames and Mikkel and Portia are sharing more than angry words.
But is Portia genuinely interested in Mikkel? Or is this merely a scheme to throw him off balance? Because only one of them can succeed in fulfilling their dreams by getting their hands on the object of their desire – Seahorse Harbour Holiday Park.
And rumour has it that Portia Trulove will do anything to get what she wants.
This is book 5 in my new series of standalone novels set in the tiny, seaside village of Seahorse Harbour.
Diana’s life is perfect. Her twin sister, Josie’s – not so much. But when secrets are revealed this summer, everything will change.
413 pages of summer fun!
Twin sisters. One scorching summer. A bucketful of secrets.
Diana has a rich and successful husband, two talented youngsters and an adorable dog. She always looks as if she’s stepped from the cover of a magazine. Her immaculate second home by the sea, for idyllic summers with her perfect family, was actually featured in one.
Josie has a messy, compact flat, dates, but not relationships, and she can’t even keep a houseplant alive. She moves from job to job, goes clubbing with her friends and often looks as if she’s fallen through a hedge.
Although Josie loves Diana deeply, each year she declines the invitation to spend the summer with her sister. Or any other family holiday. Because Josie has a secret.
But is Diana’s life so perfect? Or is she also hiding something? When secrets are revealed this summer, everything will change. Josie could finally have the life she’s always wanted … if she’s brave enough to take a chance.
This is the first book in my new series of standalone novels set in Seahorse Harbour.

Lottie Short isn’t looking forward to Christmas. Her boyfriend has dumped her and she’s also lost her job. Lottie and her beloved spaniel, Merry, are facing the festive season – and a bleak future, alone.
But a Christmas card and round-robin letter give Lottie hope. And as the first snowflakes fall, she’s on her way to the tiny seaside village of Seahorse Harbour to visit her distant aunt. She’ll stay in a cosy B&B and get some bracing, sea air. That might lift her spirits.
What she doesn’t plan for is a blizzard, her aunt taking a fall, or the dramas unfolding all around her. But at least there’s a warm welcome at Aunt Elsie’s cottage … and a roaring log fire in the village pub.
That’s not all that might bring a rosy glow to Lottie’s cheeks. Asher Bryant, the local vet is pretty hot, and Lottie also hits it off with another visitor to Seahorse Harbour. This festive season might be better than she hoped.
And when Lottie gets more than one surprise this Christmas, perhaps she and Merry won’t be spending the New Year on their own.

Asher Bryant's sister, Sorcha has come to stay … and there's going to be trouble in the cosy little village.
Sorcha Green (née Bryant) has one nightmare marriage and a string of calamitous love affairs behind her - and she's not yet thirty-four. Now she's healing another heartbreak by staying with her brother, Asher in the tiny, picturesque village of Seahorse Harbour. Asher’s found the love of his life. Why can't Sorcha do the same?
When heart-meltingly gorgeous, Finlay Demon arrives in Seahorse Harbour with his mates for a bachelor's, long weekend, Sorcha's sure she's found 'The One'. Not even his surname puts her off. But is Finlay really as perfect as he seems?
Nathan Bromley, who's helping out at Seahorse Bites Café doesn't think so. Or perhaps he simply doesn't want to believe it. Because if Finlay is as great as he appears to be, how can Nathan possibly compete with him for Sorcha's heart? Not that Sorcha seems to notice Nathan exists, romantically speaking.
While Finlay sweeps Sorcha off her feet, Nathan is determined to keep Sorcha’s feet firmly on the ground. But that's a recipe for disaster. Trouble is brewing in the cosy little village and the lid is about to be blown off more than one person's pot of dreams.
This is book 4 in my new series of standalone novels set in the tiny, seaside village of Seahorse Harbour.
Finding an abandoned dog beside the road isn’t the Christmas surprise Molly Ford is hoping for. But when the local vet can’t find a space for the bedraggled dog, Molly makes a rash decision.
The problem is she’s spending Christmas with her brother, Terry, and his girlfriend is allergic to dogs, so the bundle of wet fur, which Molly has named Miracle, might not be the only one needing a home this Christmas.
And Miracle causes chaos wherever he puts his paws. He pees on the Christmas tree, shreds the Christmas presents and eats the honeyed ham. That’s just the first night.
When Terry’s best friend, Chance offers Molly and Miracle a place to stay for Christmas, Molly is ecstatic. She doesn’t mind at all when he informs her there are strings attached. She’d rather like a festive fling with the gorgeous Chance.
Now Molly’s in for another surprise. Chance is about to pop the question, except it’s not to Molly. In fact, he needs her interior design skills to get the dilapidated cottage he’s bought, all clean and sparkly in time for his girlfriend’s impending arrival on New Year’s Eve.
But as Molly and Chance grow closer, enjoying the Christmas festivities together beneath a star-filled sky of a winter wonderland, they realise they have feelings for each other.
Could this be true love? Or is it just for Christmas?

Curl up with a hot chocolate and enjoy the perfect Christmas with this fabulously festive treat.Elodie Abbott loves Christmas, so she’s not exactly thrilled when best friend, Iris asks her to go to a village Elodie’s never heard of just two weeks before the party season kicks off, to help Iris clear out her recently deceased, Uncle Stanley’s cottage.
At least there’s an upside. Clementine Cottage is grander than it sounds; the village is idyllic and Archer Rhodes, the owner of the village pub, is seriously hot.
But it doesn’t take a genius to work out Uncle Stanley wasn’t popular. Everyone’s pleased he’s gone. Especially Archer Rhodes. When Elodie and Iris discover Stanley’s been keeping more than a close eye on all the villagers, they soon start to understand why.
Everyone in Clementine Cove appears to have a secret – and Stanley knew them all. As Elodie and Iris begin to discover what those secrets are, Stanley’s files go missing … and the gorgeous but equally stand-offish Archer, is the most likely culprit.
Is Archer’s secret as bad as Elodie and Iris believe? And will they uncover more than they expect beneath the twinkling lights and Christmas sparkle in Clementine Cove?
Secrets have been revealed and new relationships begun. Now it’s time to look to the future. Neva and Rafe are in love and so are Adam and Hazel. Jo’s love life leaves a lot to be desired, although Gavin could remedy that.
But Rafe’s grandmother, Olivia still hopes that something will tear Rafe and Neva apart. Hazel’s new assignment means nursing someone back to health … and there’s history between them. And Jo’s receiving texts from her ex-fiancé.
Then Rafe’s first wife, Pippa – the woman who broke his heart, unexpectedly arrives. And she’s even more beautiful and irresistible than Rafe remembers.
When everyone is looking to the future, will the past prove to be too strong?
There will be a wedding at Wynter House … but who will be the bride and groom?

You can’t hide from Love.
Holly Gilroy was devastated when her long-term boyfriend, Paul ran off with Naomi, her best friend. Now Paul and Naomi are back in Hideaway Down for Christmas but Holly has no intention of bumping into the happy couple. Cooking and cleaning for the guests at her Mum’s holiday cottages is one way to avoid that. Because she can’t let Paul see she’s still in love with him… can she?
Gabriel Hardwick is desperate to finish his novel… and avoid his agent, Bryony Dawes – who also happens to be his girlfriend. At least that’s what Bryony’s still telling everyone. Will Gabriel’s decision to spend Christmas alone in a rented holiday cottage finally make Bryony see that it’s over between them? And is that really what Gabriel wants?
But they’re not the only ones with problems this festive season.
It’s the coldest winter for years and the villagers and visitors in Hideaway Down are finding warmth in the most unexpected places… and not just from the roaring log fire in the hearth of The Snowdrop Inn.

Welcome back to Hideaway Down – the perfect place to find romance this summer.
Lucy Draycourt loves her job – or so she keeps telling everyone – but her friend, Beatrix Welsley says Lucy needs to ‘find herself’… so they’re going to Beatrix’s, Aunt Petunia’s wedding. Lucy can’t see how this will help, and besides, she doesn’t need to find herself. Just because she was given away at birth doesn’t mean she’s ‘lost’. Who cares that she was adopted? Her childhood was perfect so it doesn’t bother her. Or does it? Is her search for recognition really a search for something else? And is there any chance she’ll find it at Petunia Welsley’s wedding?
Evan Foster needs a break. He’s done nothing but work for several years and his life is frankly, a mess. The invitation to Uncle Bartram’s wedding has come at the perfect time. Or maybe not. Two years ago, Evan’s fiancée ran off with his business partner and it’s now abundantly clear that they’re not coming back. Evan needs to make plans for the future, but it’s difficult to move forward when you’re still living in the past.
But as Petunia Welsley, the bride-to-be would say: ‘You can’t see the sun if you’re staring into clouds. Sometimes all you need to do is take a step in a different direction and you’ll be walking on sunshine.’
Hideaway Down Series - All four books can be read as standalones.
Book one - A Christmas Hideaway
Book two - Catch a Falling Star
