Don't get me wrong I like Evan he's just a little too smooth. Now Dane is something to be reckoned with. So book 2 joins up with Evan giving up his college scholarship and the chance of being spotted for Laney. But he is too late, she is now with her soul mate and nothings gonna change that. So he is bitter, sulky and pouty and all around miserable and feels Laney didn't wait for him. Enter Whitney who I really didn't give a thought to except being a clingy trouble maker but I couldn't be more wrong. Yes she grew up with Dane and sort of expected to follow her parents wishes because obey them is all she knows. Be a perfect daughter, we don't want to see or hear you.

Laney is not happy about their friendship but she is desperate to off load the guilt she carries for hurting him. Whitney and Laney do end up as friends, Evan does forgive her and he too joins The Crew. His attempts at dating are funny, Whitney coming to his rescue is cute. When he finally realises that Whitney is what he wants he also has an epiphany on how Dane and Laney felt. So finally he pulls his head out of his bottom, realises he put Laney an a pedestal but was really too scared to get her to come and play with him!

My god this series is brilliant. As soon as I finished the first book I pick this one up. I couldn't put it down, you get POV from all the main characters Evan and Whitley and Laney and Dane from the first book. It has a great ending leading into Sawyers story which I cant wait for, I love him the big ass manwhore!! I'm looking forward to continuing Dane & Laney's story next in their novella. Highly recommended series.

Great second book in the series! I loved Evan in the first book and was gutted when it didn't end well for childhood friends Evan and Laney. In the aftermath of the showdown where Evan finds out Laney has moved on with Dane, Evan is feeling depressed that he has lost his best friend and now he has to get come to terms with being at a new college. Sawyer, one of Laney's friends take him under his wing and shows him the ropes around the college. I love Evan, he's sweet, caring and a true gentleman and i felt so sorry for him with the situation with Laney. He ends up meeting Whitley, she is fun to be around and someone that Evan needs in his life. Evan doesn't want anything to happen but he loves having her as a friend and they end up getting on really well. It doesn't help that Laney doesn't like her but she soon comes around and Whitley becomes part of the group. I really loved all these characters but especially Evan. I loved everything about this book and i can't wait to read the next one. Definitely go and buy it! Try book 1, Emerge if you haven't as this book continues on from it.

Great to read Evan's story and follow him through all the ups and downs of relationships and have him find his own way and to have true happiness, it's also great that the story still has all the other characters in it that you can read along with too.

I really liked this second book in the series, in fact, I loved it. It starts off directly following the first book. I loved how we get to meet all the characters again and see their relationships and how they have deepened. I'd have loved to meet more of Bennett and Tate in this series though, as I really liked them in the first book. They do appear but are more background characters in this book, which is well and truly Evan and whitleys happy ever after book. They make an absolutely great couple, and I really hope all the couples start going out for more dates together so we can see them blossom together, I feel like I know them. :-) I loved how Evan and Lacey also became close again, maybe not as close as before, but if love to see a book around those two again, just showing that they can be amazing friends again with partners they adore too. I have to give this review 5 stars, the story line more than makes up for the slight annoyance I feel at a few choice words used. I'm looking forward to sawyers book, he's been a strong character throughout both books and I'd love to see him fall in love, the little teaser at the end of the book with the girl with glossy black hair has got me wishing the next book was here sooner rather than later....until then

....and I didn't like it as much as I did the previous story.
It's good and there are some funny lines and the whole writing about the scenario with Evan dating, I did find really funny, but I much preferred Dane and Laney's story.
Evan is a really sweet guy and his heart is broken from the whole episode with losing Laney.
So this is Evan's time to find himself.
I absolutely LOVE "The Crew" - such a cool group of people and would love to be in the gang!
I still can't quite get my head around the ages of all the characters and their status in life - because some of them seem much older than their years.
I will continue to read through the series, it has been very enjoyable.
