Not as good as the first book Emerge. However you do get to read about Evan and his POV. I didn't feel sorry for him in the first book but actually hearing his side of the story is quite emotional and sad,my heart bled for him. He's a sweet romantic who's heartbroken from losing Laney. He finds love where he least expects it with Whitley. She is such a sweet character I actually liked her. I loved Laney in the first book but she seemed a bit whiney and self consumed in this book. Dane well what can I say ... he's a real catch.... I loved all the crew, the characters are a good mix with different personalities. I loved reading about then all. Seriously worth reading this series.

I was initially a bit wary of this book and wasn’t sure if I would like it as much as the first. Book 1 is written from Laney’s POV with occasional chapters from both Dane and Evan’s POV. When I found out this one was going to be predominantly from Evans POV I was slightly wary, especially with the way the book starts for Evan, with him not really being in the best of places emotionally. But very quickly and easily I found myself being pulled into Evan’s mind and enjoying his story.

“The Heart; The only instrument that broken, still works.”

This book feels very much like a healing book. The love-triangle is over, but the after effects are still resonating with the trio with each of them needing to figure out where they go from here. For Evan that means starting over in a new place and figuring out how to move on with Laney still such a permanent fixture in his life.

I loved Evan in Emerge, and although I was was glad that Laney chose to be with Dane, it was heartbreaking to watch Evan, the sweetest and most romantic character ever to be written, have to go through that. Luckily he gets another chance at happiness in this book with a new love interest, lovingly refered to as ‘Hummingbird’ by Evan. At first I didn’t think I was going to like her, but as we get to know her more she actually becomes this really nice character with a lot more depth then originally thought. She really is the perfect companion for Evan. There relationship takes a while to get going, but once it does it is by far one of the sweetest love stories ever, and by the end of it I found myself happy that Laney had not chosen Evan.
Laney and Dane are still going strong in this book, and we do get the chance to read from their POV too.

Now we get to see Evan's side of the story and how he is growing up. Everything is changing in Evan's life right now. Will he cling to the past or adapt for the future. How will he cope with everything? I enjoyed Embrace. I liked getting Evan's point of view and seeing how he handled everything being thrown at him as a teenager going off to college. It was nice to get something different than what I used to in my typical reading. I would recommend this to my friends early teens and up.

This follows straight on from Emerge. The story, having taken an unexpected twist at the end of that book, moves smoothly onto Evan's story. The writing continues to be fluid and a pleasure to read. The crew's characters are all further developed and the reader is challenged to view them from different sides to determine their values.

Again, the real world had to be suspended so that I could absorb every word and discover what happens - now to get right onto Entangled ...

After having loved 'Emerge', the first book in the series, I eagerly went onto this straight away.

I'm giving it 3.5* because there were so many mistakes throughout the book that I found it hard to get into and enjoy the story. But that's an editing issue not a story issue.

So at first I wasn't happy about Evans love interest, but I think Whitley was misrepresented in Emerge for this very reason. I was waiting for the bomb to drop and for her to turn on him just to get back at Laney but it turns out she's actually a really sweet girl and everyone becomes best friends and welcomes both her and Evan into 'The Crew'. Very cute story with some cheesy bits in it, but who doesn't love cheese?!

My god this series is brilliant. As soon as I finished the first book I pick this one up. I couldn't put it down, you get POV from all the main characters Evan and Whitley and Laney and Dane from the first book. It has a great ending leading into Sawyers story which I cant wait for, I love him the big ass manwhore!! I'm looking forward to continuing Dane & Laney's story next in their novella. Highly recommended series.

I'm loving this series. Book two is all about broken hearted Evan and Whitley and how they get over their broken hearts and friendship and forgiven each other. We find out more about each of the characters as well and grow to like the, even more. This is a must read series.
