Oh Mary did again, what an amazing follow up to Gwendolyn vs the Band of Barren Hearts. Gripping, raw, emotional, loving and heartbreaking. I finished this book smiling while i cried. Not a traditional HEA but its theirs in the own way. "Edgar Allen Poe once said `Years of love have been forgot, in the hatred of a minute`. Well, my life has been the opposite Gwendolyn." Welch

Copy received from Mary in exchange for honest review. It's taken we a while to come up with a review I feel will do justice to this amazing tale and I'm still not sure it does but here we go........

The emancipation of love.

How do I even begin to review this amazingly, beautiful book? ;Background. From gwendolyn vs the band of barren hearts.

When gwen's world was torn apart & she was stripped from everything good in her life herself and welch were thrown together into a failing system in a failing society. And then when it mattered most they were ripped apart. Feeling broken and even more failed by thoes who's job it was to care for and protect them. #darkfairytale

Welch's book is the continuation from gwen's and my gosh. It is as Heart hitting if not more so. Set 9years later and told from welch's perspective.

Welch continues with his internal battle, he cannot fathom that he is anything other that worthless William welch.
"I feel like more than a f*cking monster. I feel like a devil not worthy of any penance"
And then one day his life is turned on its axis. When the past meets the present.
Could welch get his second chance or was his life doomed from the off.

Such a beautiful heard hitting tale that will connect with readers on such a deep level.
This book had me breaking down.
Such a beautifully fitting ending to welch and gwen.

Thank you Mary for continuing to write the amazingly dark tales you do. They always have such an emotional impact <3 xx

I was kindly given an advanced copy to be reviewed by the author.

I was so taken back by Gwen and Williams story in Gwendolyn and the Band of Barren hearts that I was speechless.

I was completely stunned that such tragedy is possible with such beautiful people.
But to find out we were getting William Welch?
I was excited.
Nervous.
Crazed.
The anticipation of this book caused me to loose sleep and to go into super stalker mode.
When it appeared on my kindle I was done for.
I knew that I would be completely drawn into it until it was read.
And I was.
William has been through so much.
Too much.
"Bad boys like me never change. Angels like Gwen are worthy of redemption."
His life was a disaster from the time he was a child until…well until Gwen.

And then that happiness was taken away….again.

William struggles with the absence of Gwen.

Everyday is a struggle for him without his Gwen.

He finds an outlet to briefly make him forget.

"Well, let me break off a piece of my madness for you and allow you to feel unsafe for a little bit as I expose you to my instability."

But at what cost?
Who will he hurt?
Will he get his Sweet Gwen?
You have to read to find out.
This book was written so brilliantly that I can’t wait to get it in paperback. I wanna snuggle with William and whisper things to him.
Tell him everything is ok.
The story of Worthless William Welch can only ever be told by one person and one person only. Mary Palmerin
Mary did a phenomenal job in bringing this character to life that I am extremely sad that the book ended.
You can guarantee that my stalking will be in full force waiting to see what else Mary has in store for us.
