Good story though lacked that magic for me

Email from a vampire by Nigel Cooper
This is a story about a journalist ‘Tania’ who received an email from a 1000 year old vampire wanting to tell his life story. Struggling to take him seriously ‘The Vampire’ proves that he is the real deal in a way that involves the police to come in the on scene.
Though breaking the vampire code and telling the world that vampires do exist, sparks one evil vampire ‘Raven’ to go on the rampage of feeding and killing as he no longer see’s the need to hide, putting him at the top of the food chain.
Unable to capture or even take down Raven, the police and Tania need ‘The Vampire’ to help to find a way to take down the rouge vampire in order to stop innocent people from dying!
This story is a good one, though for me it lacked passion; I just didn’t connect with the characters or feel the things that they felt. The story was written in a third person narrative and though I have read other books like this, I just didn’t feel a part of the story. I kept with it though on the hope that it would get more gripping and it just didn’t do it for me!
