wasn't quite what I was expecting and the ending wasn't what I was expecting either but if you enjoy vampire reads then this is a good book

What a brilliant stand alone novel! I have heard a lot about this book via other readers and as soon as I got the chance I jumped at it!
The writing style is amazing, the characters full of emotion, body and soul - you can truly see each one of them so clearly is shocking! Email from a Vampire is a brilliant twist on the regular Vampire style novels so if you are looking for something a little bit different then this is the book for you!
The only complaint I have is that it is a stand a lone novel, to me it should be part of a series as it would make a brilliant starter novel, there are so many possibilities within the storyline for it to easily continue and I think it would be a real shame for things to end there!

It could have been a good story the idea was a good to begin with but the characters where haphazardly throw in and I never got to a point were I warmed to any of them there was no depth or likeability to there personality's .The story didn't seem to flow very well and the ending was a let down it was hurried and disappointing. All in all I wouldn't recommend this book.

I've of the worst books I have ever read. I was dropped by all the positive reviews. This has spelling mistakes and rule 1 of children's creative writing is show don't tell and this fails pitifully. I hate to be so negative but this is genuinely rubbish.

This is a gripping and pacy read presenting plausible accounts of the activities of vampires good and bad. The book explores a vampire deliberately coming forward after centuries of isolation and inviting a lady journalist to serialise his life story.
His benevolent actions arouse the fury of a very different fellow-vampire and their titanic struggle is the central theme.
The characters are very well drawn and convincing in their outlooks and actions.
Where I believe the hero's geographic knowledge lets him down occurs in this extract from page 131. ......"a small village in western France close to the border of Switzerland "
A small matter in a work which will win Nigel Cooper many friends of the sci-fi genre.
The author gave an enthralling talk on the creation of his book to the Huntingdon Writers Group, so I declare an interest in reviewing a freebie. However I will be buying at least one further copy as a Christmas stocking filler

I've just finished 'Email from a vampire' and I have to say congratulations to the author, I really enjoyed it. The storyline was very strong and maintained my interest throughout. I did reach the stage where I couldn't wait to find out what happened next, which is (I suppose) what any novelist wants to do to their readers. I guess when writing about something that doesn't really exist ( although I'm not absolutely certain now if vampires do exist!), but in a contemporary setting, it must be difficult keeping the continuity together around the bits that are real. But this was achieved very well throughout, using well researched content. It was a very good blend of fantasy, in a very real and plausible setting. Excellent!

I read this book on holiday I found this book gripped me straight away in the first few pages. I felt that I needed to find out what was happening next and found it hard to put the book down. The story flowed throughout. I feel that if you like a vampire novel then this is a good book for you. It's not like any other book that I have read, it has a modern twist to the story but also keeping with the old vampire stories that are out there. If you like true blood or twilight then definitely read this novel. Well done to the author , and I feel he needs to write another novel to follow as I feel that I need to read more of the same from him.

I'd not come across Nigel Cooper before until I read 'Boy'. Email from a Vampire is not my usual reading but it was excellent. It held my interest from page 1. I kept wanting to find out what happened but didn't as that would have spoiled it.

We meet Tania de Pré who is a journalist who receives an "Email from a Vampire" and that's where the story starts. Chapter 24 is a bit risqué and Chapter 25 is sad but all in all an excellent read. On the back of this book I've ordered Sophia which is another Nigel Cooper book so I hope I'm not disappointed.

Do you believe in Vampires? You may do after reading this.
Do Vampires help the police? They do in this book.
Do Vampires fall in love? They do in this book
Can Vampires read your mind? They can in this book.
