His benevolent actions arouse the fury of a very different fellow-vampire and their titanic struggle is the central theme.
The characters are very well drawn and convincing in their outlooks and actions.
Where I believe the hero's geographic knowledge lets him down occurs in this extract from page 131. ......"a small village in western France close to the border of Switzerland "
A small matter in a work which will win Nigel Cooper many friends of the sci-fi genre.
The author gave an enthralling talk on the creation of his book to the Huntingdon Writers Group, so I declare an interest in reviewing a freebie. However I will be buying at least one further copy as a Christmas stocking filler
We meet Tania de Pré who is a journalist who receives an "Email from a Vampire" and that's where the story starts. Chapter 24 is a bit risqué and Chapter 25 is sad but all in all an excellent read. On the back of this book I've ordered Sophia which is another Nigel Cooper book so I hope I'm not disappointed.

Do you believe in Vampires? You may do after reading this.
Do Vampires help the police? They do in this book.
Do Vampires fall in love? They do in this book
Can Vampires read your mind? They can in this book.
The characters were wonderfully written with a depth and clarity to them along with the attention to detail with regards to locations that,it was easy to imagine as you travel through his well paced story.
The way in which you find yourself moving smoothly through the timelines between the history of The Vampire and how he has managed to survive to the modern era was very well done.
The transition from possible villain of the piece to potential hero was well written, giving a whole new view point to the Vampire mythology in the process....as a first novel I look forward to reading much more from Nigel Cooper who in my humble opinion has given a refreshing and whole new perspective to this genre...well done that man...
Vampire who is trying convince Tania to publish his life story in newspaper where she writes a column...when Tristian try to tell his story, other people try to prevent it....mix of all feelings and stituations. I really like storyline, it's growing slowly but it makes this book even better.

What a good fast following story. The pages pull you in with the strong characters and the story leaves you wanting more. But what a sad way to end.Published on 6 July 2014 by suzy2010
Fast paced & at first it reminded me of the film Interview with a Vampire (which was no bad thing), I enjoyed the story immensely & was left sad that the story had ended.Published on 27 Jun. 2014 by Anita
