Its a story about modern day Pirates, I haven't read anything like it before never thought it would be my cup of tea but boy was I wrong. I could actually imagine myself lying on a sun lounger at the beach and see these new modern day Pirates sailing the seas seeking their next adventure.
The book starts with a little background on the characters Willow and Kace/Noah, they are both from very different circles of life but both searching for their place in this world we live. These two meet unexpectedly but as quickly as they do their gone again both leaving each other with a feeling that they have met their one. Years pass and the feeling's of being only half complete stay but what will happen when their paths cross again, well that is for you to go find out you definitely wont be disappointed.
I for one cannot wait for the next in this series. Another fantastic book L.A Fiore
Willow and Noah, are a couple I was rooting for. Both are damaged in their own way, but still have the ability to see ‘hope’. The story is a contemporary romance, and as is always the norm with this author, there’s a suspense/mystery element that for me she writes so well.
The characters are well portrayed, and fleshed out. We get to know them and feel for them. The secondary characters have depth, they’re not just there to fluff the story, they serve a purpose (and I was chomping at the bit to find out more about them – good job this is a start of a new series).
If you fancy something a little different in your romance genre, please give this little gem a go. I mean PIRATES, what more do you need!
I was completely submerged in the story and fell in love with the characters. The dark components of the storyline made my heart hurt for Noah and his crew of pirates, and kept me on the edge of my seat in fear of what lurked on the next pages as I read. I felt an array of emotions learning of the crew’s background before they all became pirates, and how much they had to endure to survive. The friendship the men formed as a crew of brotherhood made me love Noah, Snake, Tiggs, Tex and Zeke even more. Whilst I felt sadness I also could not stop laughing because Willow’s best friend Zoe was crazy, and I loved her for it and how she interacted with the crew.
I have to say I absolutely loved Noah and Willow as a couple, he was sexy, badass, cocky, possessive, protective, had swagger and charm, whilst Willow was confident, beautiful, strong, protective and loyal, together they made one hot sizzling couple. Their chemistry, the romance and heat level felt so alive and was unmissable in the pages of Elusive. I love a bad boy and romance with that push and pull, slow build sexual chemistry factor, that makes you crave the couple’s intimacy scenes. Noah and Willow come from different backgrounds, but they both experienced loneliness in their separate lives growing up. Crossing paths was inevitable and from the moment they met their fate was sealed, and I soaked up the pages feeling their deep connection and love.
I found the storyline was perfectly paced throughout that it kept me engaged and held me captive from beginning to end. Elusive makes a great summer fun read, and I felt like I was part of the crew looking to let go, find trouble and not be a damsel in distress. The writing was flawless and error free which I love when reading a favourite author’s work.
Elusive was so different to anything else I had ever read and highlighted why I love this authors work so much. L.A Fiore doesn’t get better each time she publishes a new book, she just shows how truly talented she is and why I keep coming back in anticipation of her next release. Now I can't wait for what comes next in this fun shipwrecked series!
