I've always heard things comes in 3's. Ella's Love does come in 3's...Fate, Love and Devotion.
By Fate they meet years ago to be tour apart, but to only meet again in the ER.
By Love they show each other that they are soul mates.
By Devotion having that person to be there through it all.
I fell in love with this Ella and Marcus. Their love story isn't the typical girl/boy falls in love story. It has twist and turns that I didn't see coming. I laughed, smiled and cried. I have to say that this is one of the best love stories of this year. It is fast pace, but I don't feel like Jasmine didn't cheat you one bit. I love that they met in the past and it comes full circle.
Ella is a single mom, independent, and knows she might not get her HEA.
Marcus is a newly divorced and lead singer in a heavy metal band.
What they didn't expected was to fall in love.
How much is Marcus willing to sacrifice to be with Ella?
Can Ella open her heart, knowing she might not get her happy ending.
This story is beautifully written and I cant wait to see what Jasmine writes next.
The narration in Ella's Love was great! I really felt like I was in the book and it sounded almost like a voice over at times. This was actually one of the books that I enjoyed the first person narration. It's usually not my favorite perspective, but I really enjoyed it this time.
And then the plot of their meeting. That was interesting to watch unfold. To know that they've met before and keep running into each other just made me sigh.
Admittedly Marcus annoyed me several times but I came around. I felt really attached to Ella and that made the book even more enjoyable. Her struggles made it all that much easier to relate to her.
Ella's Love brought you into an emotional roller coaster and even a day or so after I finished it and I'm typing my review, I still feel like I'm on that roller coaster. And that is hard for authors to do sometimes.
Overall, Ella's Love was an amazing, if at times painful read. Keep the tissues close if you start reading it.
