Format: Hardcover
This is a lovely book, beautifully produced, and with exactly the right feel for the enjoyment and sense of purpose that exists among those who play cricket in out of the way places. It is the blend of seriousness and humour, keeping to the rules and making allowances for local conditions, that sums up what we love about the game.

Was given this as a gift - I hadn't bought it myself as I thought it was just a compilation of Cricket Round the World extracts from past editions of Wisden. Turns out I was wrong; there's lots of new writing here you won't have already seen.

The book goes through almost every country and territory in the world from A-Z for any country that's ever been mentioned in that part of Wisden, with the full CRTW entry from a particular year reproduced, and for about half of these entries, there's new editorial content (updates since the original article, corrections, more information or reflections), usually quite a bit longer than the entry itself was, while still keeping the same spirit of the quirky, obscure and intriguing from the original pieces. A joy to read.
