Product description

One of our bestselling manager's chairs is simple and affordable, yet provides comfort for working in the office for longer periods. This manager chair has a black soft leather PU bonded finish and fixed chrome arms for a sophisticated look. It is mounted on castors and has seat-height adjustment to provide comfort and support for individual users. All our chairs are built to the highest standards, using the very best components available and conform to BIFMA, DIN NORM & BS standards.  All chairs are subjected to continuing rigorous and exacting tests of quality, durability and design. The stitching pattern offers clean lines with eye catching detail. Incorporating an integral headrest for maximum user comfort along with deep foam cushioning the chair can easily be used for either the office or small home office for up to 5 -8 hours a day. The seat front is moulded to allow the user to sit right back into the chair and still have the much needed support at the back of their knees. The padded arm rests which are a feature of more expensive chairs are an additional comfort factor in this economic office chair. The clean lines and finish of the soft leather are contrasted with the chrome components making the chair stand out in any environment.

Very pleased with this chair, nice rich burgundy colour and soft feel. the instructions were terrible but luckily a bit of common sense had it put together in about 20minutes. Arm rests are nice and soft and the seat cushion is just right - not too spongy, not too hard.

    When I first bought this I thought it was a fantastic chair, incredibly comfy and impossible to get out of because it was so nice. I slept on it for the first week!

    However, it was difficult to assemble, and the instructions were certainly not user friendly. After one and a quarter years, it started to wobble but I was ok with that, and now, with four months to go for its second year, its like a roller coster. I would rather sit on my bed. For £115 I would expect it to last at least a decade, there are ones at work made of plastic and they have been around for years. What is worse is that there is no button in on the order to complain, very disappointed.

    The chair arrived with a large dent right in the middle of what was meant to be the lumber support (the sticky out bit). Also the "head rest" sat squarely between my shoulder blades. I am 6ft so tall but not that tall and there was no way I could keep such as a badly designed chair even if it hadn't of arrived damaged. As others have stated the assembly was a bit of a nightmare not because it was hard just awkward and fiddly trying to get various holes to line up correctly etc. In fairness it looked ok but it's also not leather as advertised. Avoid.

    After one week's use, the chair is well made, solid and comfortable. The leather facings on the seat and back are identical to look at as the other surfaces that are in a PVC material, but being leather, are not sticky to sit on, and remain comfortable over extended periods. The chair is reassuringly heavy, and while comfortable, the depth of padding is not as great and is not as soft as I had expected from the picture. It is a large chair and needs space. The colour is a somewhat duller brown also, more towards a mushroom type colour, than the picture led me to think, but still good. Putting it together was straightforward, though fitting the arms was tricky, as the bolts were difficult to locate into the base, and the instructions are minimal. Perseverance paid off. The design with arms that slope down towards the front makes it an excellent chair for working at a computer, because the chair rolls forwards well into the table, but provides armrests at a useful height. At the same time, its is comfortable, with its high back and head rest, for sitting back and reading or writing, and the lumbar support for this is good. The chair was delivered incredibly quickly, and well. The packaging was effective but not excessive.

    In terms of look and size its brilliant unfortunately when spending so much on an "executive" chair you hope for some seat adjustment, but this only goes up or down. And can feel quite uncomfortable after some time. The padded seat has now deflated where my bum cheeks rest and the leather has gone all wrinkly after about 4 months of usage.

    I mainly bought this form the form factor and although the shiny screw covers dont quite sit well it is a very nice looking chair and the feel of the material is good. Just a shame that the actual functionality of it is limited!

    Assembly is reasonably easy and can be completed by 1 person. The diagram only instructions are poor and not particularly clear. When combining the back of the chair and the under chair mechanicals, ensure the flat end is facing the front of the chair and the lever will be on the right of the chair when completed. The back of the chair is only secured to the chair by screws on the armrest. The positioning of the screw holes in the chair body is inaccurate and the screw holes in the material are also inaccurate, meaning you will need to play with the leather a little before assembly. The chair assembles well otherwise with the exception of one final issue.

    The screw hole covers that fit on the armrest, covering the only visible screws, do not fit at all flush in several places. This is due to the inaccurate nature of the screw hole placings and the nature of the covers, which must be fully inserted into the screw apertures. Full insertion is prevented by some screws being tight to the wall of the apertures, allowing no way to insert the covers fully. As the covers look ridiculous, some fully inserted, some sticking out at jaunty angles and some barely inserted at all, you will either have to live with this or exposed screw heads. Also, the covers are insanely flimsy so if you are thinking of using any form of tool to bash them in place, don't!

    The chair itself looks very good when completed. The image on amazon seems to suggest a sumptuous sitting environment but it is actually rather hard, very hard even. Adjustment is fine, although the chair makes a considerable number of creaking and clicking noises when in use. Having used many, albeit often more expensive height adjustable office chairs, the quality of the gas action seems poor and will probably not last particularly long.

    The issues with quality and comfort may seem reasonable for a low priced chair which otherwise seems fits for purpose, hence the 2 stars. However, if the item had been displayed like this to me in a shop, I would not have purchased, so be warned.

    Ho azzardato l'acquisto nonostante nessuno avesse lasciato ancora un commento su questa poltrona. Sono contentissima della scelta effettuata. Ritengo il prezzo adeguato, in commercio ci sono poltrone scadenti che costano molto di più. La struttura è massiccia e resistente ( quando comprate una poltrona controllate quanto peso possa sopportare, questa addirittura arriva a 154 kg! ). In realtà nella descrizione si dice che si tratti di pelle, non è pelle vera, ma un ottimo similpelle che vi arriverà certificato della qualità di resistenza persino alle bruciature di sigaretta. Noi non fumiamo, ma credo che questo sia garanzia di resistenza, la poltrona che avevo in precedenza si è sfogliata dopo poco tempo. La base e i braccioli sono in metallo cromato e non in plastica, la poltrona è molto pesante e stabile, oltre che esteticamente molto elegante. Consigliata, ricordate che a seconda del colore può costare qualcosa meno ( il borgogna che ho preso io è un bellissimo bordeaux piuttosto scuro), ma questo non va a discapito della qualità. Massiccia!!!
