Largely, I apply the S.O.S Survival Cream immediately after shaving, to nourish the skin, and if I feel the skin on my face needs a boost, I'll apply it a couple of days after shaving, supplementing with a regular facial moisturiser between applications. My Choice is either Elemis Daily Moisture Boost (£27.90) or Boots No.7 Energising Moisturiser (£7.50).
In addition, I find the S.O.S Survival cream particularly useful during winter months when exposure to the elements, coupled with the effects of central heating, can cause the skin on the face to become dry and irritated.
Through continued application, Ive found that the ingredients, chiefly lavender and myrrh, have continued to act quickly to help calm any irritation, although, I'd recommend no more than a pea sized amount per application, since the product is heavily concentrated.
Mens' skin can indeed be very sensitive often due to the process of daily wet shaving or outdoor sports etc. But while this highly fragrant product contains a number of soothing ingredients and antioxidants, it is not recommended as it contains a lot of potentially drying rice starch along with a number of irritating fragrant ingredients and Lavender oil, which contrary to popular believe is not at all good for the skin, even in small amounts. And this contains a lot. This is because Lavender oil and Lavender extract contains linalool and linalyl acetate that can damage the skin. Lavender leaves also contain camphor, which can also be irritating to the skin. In addition this contains Eucalyptus, Patchouli, Myrrha and Limonene, which are also irritating and sensitizing to the skin. Potentially this formula will have your skin sending out an SOS!Read more ›
How disappointed I was - it is very sticky and although not an unpleasant smell, it did linger for hours and was quite irritating.
Even though it was a good price with Amazon, it is still quite expensive and I will have to use it all to warrant how much I spent.
Will not be buying again - the search continues for a replacement for the brilliant Korres Chestnut cream :-(
Thank you Cosmetic factory

Lovely texture. No nonsense feed and hydration for the skin. Easy and uncomplicated for men to use regularly.Published 28 days ago by PICKY H
Nice but very heavy (my hubby says) and perhaps better suited as a day cream. Unless you have very dry skin.Published 4 months ago by Kirsti O'Rourke
This was a good price and last a long time also excellent for post shave.Published 17 months ago by E. C. Bell
