HASH(0x8d55f3b4) out of 5 stars A must have for chemistry fans 30 Nov. 2012

What chemistry fan wouldn't want a calendar featuring Theodore Gray's element pictures? I am a chemist and love all of his element products. The photography and printing are stunning! This calendar should be on every scientist's wall in 2013.

Looking at the cover of the calendar, I thought that only a respective picture of an element would be displayed on each month. To my surprise, every month comes with a full explanation of the element it showcases, much like the book, also pointing out key dates during the history of Chemistry. It even includes a fold out periodic table composed of the very pictures shown in the book and calendar. This is a must have for any Chemistry classroom, or your laboratory if you're a mad scientist.

Yeah, my 2012 penguins calendar was cute, but this calendar is... Awesome, informative, and inspiring. I love that it has information on the element of the month and that special dates in the history of chemistry are on the calendar itself! It sparks my interest to look further into certain aspects of chemistry. I'm a biochemistry major, and my friends are naturally jealous they don't have such an awesome calendar for themselves. Haha. (It comes with the poster in case anyone is wondering.)

This is the second year that we have had this calendar hanging up in our house. My six year old and I like to change the months and discuss what ever is on the page for the month. She is a brilliant girl. I am guessing that an average ten year old would like this calendar for the same reason. It is fun and educational. The photography is stunning.
