The male ends meant for insertion into standard 0.1 inch (2.54mm) female sockets and the female ends are meant for insertion into standard 0.1 inch (2.54mm) male headers.

Inexpensive quick wiring!

I bought these Dupont wires to flash a modded BIOS into the BIOS chip of an Asus laptop - and I had to connect an EEPROM USB programmer to the chip using these cables + Pomona 5250 SOIC8 clip.
The wires make perfectly fine connections for debugging and programming hardware. In my case, worked exactly as expected + allowed successfully read and flash BIOS ROMs directly to the chip – no issues whatsoever.

👉 Great for Arduino, Raspberry Pi's, or any number of other electronic projects.

perfect set of wires for my button box project. The wires worked great in batches of 5 to setup my rotary encoders ready to plug into a breadboard or joystick controller board.

I'm very happy with them and saved me a good few hours otherwise wasted crimping and soldering 25-30 connections. The took 5 mins to sort it all out.

A Godsend when soldering is an ugly time consuming skill you don't have.

Then I discover the same seller promotes both!! These 'add ons' are better quality than those provided in the kit so why not charge a little extra for the kit and offer the higher standard = higher star rating in first place!!!

Some quality issues

Somewhat bad quality connections. 1 wire was totally dead, and several have varying resistance from "low enough" up to 5-9 ohms, depending how one touches them. While trying to check the dead one, I noticed that the wire is too thin for the crimping (or someone cut too deep while removing insulation and lost some strands) - once loosening the hold over the wire insulation, the connector came immediately loose. That is, its hold on the strands themselves was zero-force. I could even push the strands back in the connector's crimping area. (However, the real problem was elsewhere, as it was still "dead" even on the bare strands in that end.)

My package came with 3x4 extra wires, so, I guess I'll get enough decently working pieces, but there is not much trust in them. Could perhaps try to solder some for better reliability and lower resistance.

The connectors fit nicely in all the headers and breadboards I tried (not too loose, not too hard).

I can't help but wonder how many times these would've come in handy. I found out about these whilst researching a way to connect my NZXT LED light strips directly to the RGB addressable header of my ASUS motherboard, while they have a similar pinout, they're ordered in a different way, most inconvenient. If my soldering iron wasn't currently playing up, I may have attempted to mess around with the cable to get it to work, but using this was a surprisingly good compromise. I did need to use my guitar string cutter to trim the connectors so they wouldn't stick out, and they don't quite properly fit onto the header, being slightly loose. But, keep in mind that these aren't what they're intended to be used for, which really speaks to the versatility of the product. The fact that it came with so many means I'll probably have enough to last for me a fair few years in my various projects. My one and only gripe would be that I'd love an all black one, just to better suit the colour scheme of my case (though, I do admit that the coloured nature of the cables helped me keep track of which connector belonged where).

Good selection of both male to female, male to male and female to female so are covered for any wiring requirements.

Not really much else I can really say about jumper wires... they look well enough made and the connectors are tight enough and seat properly so they do exactly what they are meant to.

I feel that the price paid was good enough value.
