Put red marks of the adapter and lens collar together.
Turn the adapter anticlockwise till the fixative click.
mosty it will use Manual or Av mode.
To remove the adapter you should unpress fixative pin and turn the adapter clockwise.

If you only use the EF-M mounting system, then this is cheap enough for you to buy a few to attach to each EF/EF-S lens you own to save you switching them all the time.
made of solid Metal. a good all round product that works with all the electronic points.
I can now use all my DSLR lenses with this adaptor.
Also allows for smaller rings to be attached for using m39 and M43 Lenses. Great fun using old Leica, Carl Zeiss and Pentax SMC lenses
Probably won't last forever, but not sure the Canon version is any better in that regard.
