Having heard that the Medal of Honor games were generally regarded as being the poor relations to COD & Battlefield, I thought I would try one out for myself and I'm glad I chose this one as I really loved the campaign for this game. What sets it apart from the more recent modern day COD's & Battlefields is that it is set in Afghanistan and the Taliban are the enemy rather than the usual Russian or Chinese separatists/terrorists that are normally used, so it gives the game a much more topical & realistic feel. You play as different US Special Forces throughout the campaign, and there is more of a stealth & sniper style of gameplay when playing as the Navy Seal & Delta Force Operatives, however, when playing as an Army Ranger there are some pretty intense large scale gunfights in there as well. Enemy AI is pretty good too and they are fairly accurate with their shots, so if you try and stand there taking on all comers Rambo style you probably won't last very long. The gameplay is very tight & intuitive and its obvious Dice have learnt a lot, not only from their own Battlefield: Bad Company games but also from rival Call of Duty also. The only downside, as with all FPS campaigns, is that it is very short lived but it is an immensely enjoyable ride while it lasts.
NB: Not sure if this is standard for this title or if it was just from the company I ordered the game from through Amazon, but the game itself came with a German/French cover and instruction booklet, however, the game itself was all in English so there was no issue there - just something to be aware of if you order & receive it like this. FREEBIE - Also to note, there is a HD copy of PS2 era WWII game 'Medal of Honor: Frontline' included free on the disc too, although it looks very dated now and the gameplay is extremely clunky compared to most FPS these days, although it does highlight just how far these games have progressed/improved in the last 10 years or so I guess.

Regarding the game, i liked it, a lot actually, but right when I was starting to love it, the missions ended :(
I'm the offline kind of gamer, who does't want to be obligated to be connected to no game room, depending on pings, framerate, people in the room to start a game, etc, so I don't even know if the online game is any good. What I really like is to run the missions on the campaign mode. And those are really good, but the fun is really shot. If you're good, and you play 6 or 8 hours in a row, the game is finished quickly.
