I bought this game having seen a few negative reviews online and thought I could get into it. Oh dear, how wrong was I.
The gameplay is terrible. I'd describe it as playing football in a swamp. Players feel like they're running through treacle and defenders win every 50/50 ball making building any kind of attack a nightmare.
When you do finally get through on goal you're treated to the worst shooting mechanics I've ever seen in a fifa game. I've frequently had shots at near full power chip gently into the goalkeepers arms. I don't know what they've done with finesse shots but they just don't work anymore, keeper saves every time. You can no longer ping around passes and build an attack like previous years as every pass no matter how much power you place on it bogs down like its on a waterlogged pitch or swamp. Presentation and graphics are excellent and there are plenty of game modes etc. But Im afraid for me it's all about the gameplay and I'm sorry its a massive fail this year. Pro Evo is a far better game in every way this year bar licensing and if anyone is reading this review considering buying this, Do yourself a favour and DONT BUY IT.
