Product Description

Review

"This book represents a welcome addition to the Eleanor Roosevelt material for the student and general reader who seeks a solid overview of the life of the most outstanding American woman of the twentieth century. Harris has woven together an outstanding synthesis of contemporary scholarship on Roosevelt to produce a succinct volume that makes the life and times of this remarkable figure meaningful in the twenty-first century."-Maurine H. Beasley, Ph.D. Professor of Journalism Philip Merrill College of Journalism University of Maryland, College Park Co-editor, THE ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ENCYCLOPEDIA

""Eleanor Roosevelt" is a useful research tool for high school students and is also an engaging introduction to the subject for the general public." -

The book is really a synopsis of ER's life, and not worth the £25.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eleanor Roosevelt : A Biography by Cynthia M. Harris 14 April 2008
By Grace K. Miller - Published on Amazon.com

I purchased this for a gift and have not read the entire book. I was surprised to find that there is only 190 pages. For the price, I expected more detail. My impression is that the book reads like a "just the facts" document, which is what the author may have intended. As an author, I am willing to support other authors when I can. G. Miller
