"The Egypt Code" is Robert Bauval's sequel to "The Orion Mystery" which was first published in 1994 introduced us to the research that both Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert on the connection between the pyramids with the night sky, they researched what star constellations would have been visible at the pyramids where built.
Their work is now famous world wide; at the time it shocked both Egyptologists and the scientific community, even today some people are still sceptical about the whole idea.
This book continues their original research and builds on it even more by challenging many Egyptologists that the pyramids were just tombs meant to house the mummies of dead pharaohs. But as you continue to read you'll find out that the pyramids and other temples meant so much more to the Pharaohs and the Egyptian people.
Even today some Egyptologists and other academics still disagree with the research, but with new
evidence coming to light everyday some Egyptian history has already had to be changed and updated, and this will happen even more as new evidence is found.
I found this book to be both enjoyable and extremely interesting. It's a must for anyone that's already read "The Orion Mystery" by Robert Bauval and Adrian Gilbert and anyone else that enjoys reading about Egyptian history. :-)
If you decide to read this book you must keep an open mind, it gives you a lot to think about and it's something you will either agree or disagree with.
I thought it was worth every penny and it makes an excellent edition to my little Egyptian library, which now stands at over 1000 books. :-)
