"The research that's been conducted the past few years by Dawson Church has had enormous impact in terms of moving the needle on widespread acceptance of EFT. Now, with his updated EFT Manual, he's created the definitive guide to Clinical EFT. A must read for laypersons and professionals alike!" Nick Ortner, NY Times best-selling author of The Tapping Solution"
The Third Edition of the EFT Manual still makes this elegant, powerful system for inner peace and self-transformation easily accessible, but it goes further than the earlier editions. It integrates the research evidence that establishes the validity and informs the practice of EFT, and it addresses additional topics that have emerged as training programs in EFT have evolved. I recommend it both as a highly useful guide for beginners and as an authoritative resource for experienced practitioners. David Feinstein, PhD, Co-author of Promise of Energy Psychology"

Another reason for the one star is that I found the structure most confusing. For instance, on page 97 there is a section on what to do if the SUDs level doesn't come down to 0 but it only mentions adjusting the affirmation and reminder phrase and doing another round of EFT. We have to wait until page 275 to find the Collarbone breathing technique to help in these situations.
Similarly, on page 98 there is a section on specifics followed by one on aspects but neither section gives much detail on how to find them. It isn't until page 278 that we meet Gary's metaphor of table tops and legs where there is more detail on these two vital parts of EFT. I could go on.
Finally, unlike Gary Craig's second edition, I found this edition far too wordy and difficult to follow.
So, considering all of this I would suggest to anyone serious about wanting to learn EFT, that they save their money and learn from Gary himself by working through his free Gold Standard Tutorial on his (emofree) website.
