Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The first unit that came had a problem with the slot-loading DVD drive. I returned it to Amazon and had the usual excellent customer experience (full 5 marks to Amazon).
The unit itself is virtually silent, runs nice and cool and is so small that we don't really notice it. Once I've tidied up all the cables, it will be neat too (I wasn't going to splash out for wireless keyboard and mouse, but I think this has Bluetooth so you might be able to connect these). WiFi performance is fine as far as I can tell.
Performance seems OK - I don't play PC games so I've no idea if the video card is up to spec, but YouTube content has been rendered nicely enough. I don't have an HD telly so I can't comment on the HDMI output.
I moved a lot of pictures and video files from an SD card to the hard disk - OK, maybe not blazingly fast but fast enough.
Microsoft Office suite runs fine.
4 stars, because of the duff slot-loading drive in the first unit but otherwise I can't fault this for what it is - a small, relatively cheap desktop PC that is perfectly adequate for all the family's day to day needs.
I stripped off the cheapware from Asus but left the Asus update utilities which work fine. I deleted the Office starter version as I am using this as a media player and did not anticipate a need to use Word or Excel. I took off the anti virus software and installed Microsoft Security essentials. This is free, well integrated and faster than most of the other alternatives. (Keeps your PC clean and is free).
Installed Spotify, loaded all my music into the media library which works great on Windows 7. Installed Safari as the default browser.
This little machine is the fastest to boot, fastest to shut down, fastest to hibernate machine in our house. It has optical SP-DIF available through the little optical extender (adapter) that is supplied. This plugs into the headphone socket. Gives you digital output to your AV receiver
This machine plays back HD Video streams brilliantly and sounds great through the hi-fi. I use the HDMI to a 50" plasma in our lounge.
Google Earth works well.
Has been running reliably, v quietly, with no errors for many many hours.
Highly recommended as a Media Player. Video conversion would also work well using Badaboom from NVIDIA. The graphics chip in this device is the same or similar to the chips used in v expensive MACs!
The one thing I didn't expect was to have to let the Windows installer run, then do all the updates. Maybe this is common; either way it took an evening so don't buy it expecting to use straight away. I doubt it's for gamers but it's just what I needed for this user.
Replaced with another one and that one is brilliant. A nice looking object that can sit at the side of your TV without looking out of place.
A wireless mouse and keyboard would be an improvement so you can sit on the settee and operate it but that's a minor issue.
A good purchase.
Overall a very good Nettop PC. Would recommend it!
