This has been a hit with the autistic young adult it was bought for and is enjoyed by playful non-autistic adults too as well as children and babies. The texture is appealing and the glow, whilst not exactly dazzling, is normal. In a dark room at night, after exposure to daylight earlier on, the ball glows softly but very noticeably even from across the room. The ball glows more brightly under a UV bulb (blacklight) as most glow-in-the-dark toys do!

The quality seems good. The ball comes inflated but we have deflated and reinflated ours with our own football pump in order to pack the ball to travel with it. It's been kicked around parks and has stood up to being submerged in chlorinated water at the swimming pool. It still glows! So far so good with durability. We have reinflated our ball slightly over the level it was supplied at, to add extra bounce. But this isn't necessary, or even recommended, it's just our choice.

Spikey balls, such as this, are useful for playing with in water because the texture makes them easy to grip while wet. They are less ideal for sporty ball/skin contact games (such as dodgeball and volleyball) because the spikey texture can be sore on the skin (especially if slightly over-inflated as we have done, making the spikes harder). It's best suited for gentler use, throwing, catching, bouncing, rolling and touching, which is what a sensory ball is designed for.

A worthwhile, good quality sensory ball.

Have no problem with the ball itself but as this was a present for my nephew I'm slightly miffed that it's been delivered in plastic packaging rather than the edushape box (as shown in the picture. How do I know this is actually the ball described and not a cheap imitation?

I bought this sensory ball as a present for an autistic child. His mum told me, that it was the perfect present .he loves it. He sleeps with it, as the texture comforts him. Also if you put the ball near to a light bulb, and then swith off the light it "recharges", and glows a lot in the dark.

My eighteen month old loves this toy. I had to talk myself (and my husband!) into buying this at the shop because it felt a bit pricey but I'm so glad I did as it has swiftly become one of my sons favourite toys.

The bumps add interest and texture. My son loves playing catch and bouncing balls and this is his favourite as it bounces very well on wooden floors (I haven't tried any other surfaces so can't comment on those).

My only regret is purchasing the glow in the dark one rather than the see through one as my son loves being able to see through brightly coloured things and I didn't really think it through as at 18mo he won't be playing with the ball in the dark!

Overall very happy. Now think it's worth every penny for the joy it brings my son.

My son likes this ball, but it is a bit on the small side. We had a previous ball from the US that was great that was just a few inches bigger and it was much better. Not a very good glow on it either.

Good product. The small bumps allow my little one to hold it because it provides more grip. Glow in the dark doesn't really work though.
