The quality seems good. The ball comes inflated but we have deflated and reinflated ours with our own football pump in order to pack the ball to travel with it. It's been kicked around parks and has stood up to being submerged in chlorinated water at the swimming pool. It still glows! So far so good with durability. We have reinflated our ball slightly over the level it was supplied at, to add extra bounce. But this isn't necessary, or even recommended, it's just our choice.
Spikey balls, such as this, are useful for playing with in water because the texture makes them easy to grip while wet. They are less ideal for sporty ball/skin contact games (such as dodgeball and volleyball) because the spikey texture can be sore on the skin (especially if slightly over-inflated as we have done, making the spikes harder). It's best suited for gentler use, throwing, catching, bouncing, rolling and touching, which is what a sensory ball is designed for.
A worthwhile, good quality sensory ball.
The bumps add interest and texture. My son loves playing catch and bouncing balls and this is his favourite as it bounces very well on wooden floors (I haven't tried any other surfaces so can't comment on those).
My only regret is purchasing the glow in the dark one rather than the see through one as my son loves being able to see through brightly coloured things and I didn't really think it through as at 18mo he won't be playing with the ball in the dark!
Overall very happy. Now think it's worth every penny for the joy it brings my son.

Exactly as it's described but I wish I'd got a coloured ball as this one's a bit dull during daylight.Published 4 months ago by LiiSpe
