I've just spotted these on Amazon and as I've had mine for over 2yrs just had to do a review to explain how they are supposed to be used as some people are obviously having trouble.

To wedge open/shut a door etc you hold the thickest part of the Flux at the top of your hand and the thinnest part at the bottom (as though you were trying to scoop something off the floor with the thin profile) then you just push this under the door and curl up as you push until it finds it's natural stop. You do not lay it down flat. If you have installed it correctly it should look like a 'quote' mark stood on it's tail holding your door open or closed. Hope this helps.

We've also used them for security wedging our double glazing. Obviously you will have to play around to get the best scenario for your type. I bought 4 of these at the time and they have been used every day and are still. Once one got lost in the garden for over six months part of which time was winter so they are obviously hardy.

These door stops are perfect for doors that are too close to the ground for conventional doorstops! We had the normal style grey ones you see around, and the tip was too thick to fit under the door. As you can imagine it was very frustrating, and we would try to come up with all sorts of ingenious ways to keep the doors open (which mostly didn't work!) that is... Until we found these door stops! The curved design means that they are ideal for any type of door.

I bought 6, and will be buying more.

not sure this was going to work as bought for my front door which is higher of the ground from floor as inside doors. this is perfect exactly what i have been looking for . instead of trying to find heavy objects when both front and back door are open to stop them slamming, i am just off to order another.Definately worth while buying thankyou

I've been looking ages for a door-stop that's not twee looking and/or so large you'll fall over it. We have wooden floors and the stop goes in perfectly in the gap to the door. And as a bonus, it looks cool .. all at a reasonable price. I was starting to despair at the other stuff that's out there but the flux is just perfect
4 stars only because I've no idea how durable it is yet. It seems to be perfectly tough .. but I thought I better be cautious just in case!

I purchased this to keep a door open on laminate flooring. It worked well for a while, then it picked up dust and keep moving allowing the door to slowly close. I managed to find much larger traditional rubber door wedge which filled the gap between the floor and door - so therefore stopped using this.

Work perfectly with heavy doors against strong "closers" and on wooden floors so not sure what is going wrong for some people. Some of our doors even have large gaps underneath and still they hold firm. BUT do shop around the ones on Amazon are the dearest we've seen so haven't actually both them here. Give you one guess as to the cheapest.

    Doors don't move.
    Original and funky looking.
Over 6 colours to choose from.
    Relatively inexpensive.
So far very durable (have had some for over two years).

(and possible to spell 'doors' with the review - can't ask for more than that)

    STOP.

Had one before and just ordered 2 more to keep outward opening French doors open. With two wedged in sideways just above the hinges, it works quite well, where because of the height above the patio only a very high and heavy doorstop worked before. They just need to be wedged in very tightly, preferably just above the hinges, and then they withstand quite a bit of our blowy climate.
