Book Description

A comprehensive guide to every aspect of preparing and using a business plan.

From the Author

We hope that this book we will prove an invaluable reference for existing business planners as well those developing a business plan for the first time.

The materials range from simple business planning techniques and basic accounting to advanced strategic analysis and planning tools and techniques.

We have grouped together all the techniques that we find most useful for business planning in an easily accessible format. We hope this book will be invaluable for anyone involved in business planning activities. A great companion to this book is the Ecomomist's Guide to Business Modelling, also by Graham Friend.

If you have any comments on the book please send them to graham.friend@coleago.com. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Format: Hardcover
Having read a number of books on business planning and strategic analysis I found this book one of the most useful references available. The authors have included every business planning and analysis tool you could ever need and I think it is an essential reference for anyone involved in the analysis or planning of a business. The book is clearly written and very practical. Many business planning books are very theoretical but this one seems to be written by business planners for business planners. I would recommend this book to anyone involved in business planning.

Easy to digest, excellent breadth of coverage, useful references, very well presented and yet at the same time it really stretched my intellect in understanding some of the analytical techniques employed. An excellent book, I use it regularly and would recommend it to any professional analyst, start-up entrepreneur or product development manager.

Provides a good overview of the business planning proces. It starts from strategy and works its way towards the annual business plans. The ones just interested the annual business planning may be a bit disappointed as the book gives a fair bit of space towards the more strategic and tactical analysis.
