Product Description

Very quiet, lightweight so easy to move about. Wife is loving it, because of this miserable weather she is drying her laundry almost every night with ease. Would recommend this highly, after a lot of research I went for this Ebac.   - Suhail from Burnley Ebac 2650E 18 Litre Dehumidifier A dehumidifier will help reduce moisture levels in the air; controlling humidity levels. This can create a healthier and more comfortable environment to live in. Dehumidifiers work to help alleviate and prevent issues like, condensation, mould growth, damp and musty odours. Start your Ebac 2650e dehumidifier and then forget about it; with SMART Control the dehumidifier will monitor the air in your home and adjust itself, so you don't need to worry about changing humidity levels or turning it on or off. If the water tank is ever full the dehumidifier will switch itself off so you don't need to worry about getting home to empty the tank. This portable dehumidifier comes with a built-in carry handle and cable tidy. Light indicators tell you when the water tank is full and when the machine is on. For ease of use Ebac have also made the water tank accessible from the front. Features: Suitable for up to 4 bed homes (180m2, 360m3) SMART Control TM - knows when to be on and when to be off - saving you money

I didn't think my flat was 'damp' - there was a bit of condensation on the wall in one of the bedrooms, and a tendency for a slight mildew problem when the weather got colder. I purchased the Ebac 2650e to get rid of the mildew - and it has transformed the climate in my entire flat! The unit is very simple to use - let it run on 'Auto' setting for a couple of weeks - just switch it on and forget about it, it will adjust humidity levels automatically and remove as much moisture from the air as necessary for a healthy environment. I was quite surprised to be emptying the unit once a day at first, but as humidity levels decrease, it requires emptying less frequently. I now run it on 'economy' mode, and empty the reservoir a couple of times a week. My flat is quite large, and over two floors - ground floor and basement. I'd imagined that the dehumidifier would only work over one floor, but it seems to have gone to work on the entire flat. I used to have to run a mini-dehumidifier in my downstairs storage room, but this is now not needed. The downstairs bathroom feels cozy and dry, as does the rest of the flat. I really can't describe how much more comfortable the flat feels. I work from home several days a week, and usually by mid-October i have to run the heating all day in order to stay warm - no more - now the heating comes on for a total of 3 hours a day. All traces of mildew on the bedroom wall have completely vanished, and there is no sign of condensation. I haven't calculated how much electricity the unit uses - I'd imagine that it will be more than compensated by the savings on my gas bill - but I'm feeling so cozy and warm that I don't care! The unit itself is small and discrete and makes very little noise. I'm delighted with it, and wish I'd purchased one ages ago.

We are Ebac users, after about 10 years and 6 or 7 machines purchased, we feel very qualified to give our findings!

For the last 5 years or so we have used 2 in the house, one for upstairs, one down. We feel this best suits our 3 bed semi.
We have learnt to always buy the 5 year warranty so this makes every machine last money wise.

We have the item above and a similar Ebac model, if you look across all ebac models and on other site reviews you will see more experiences than covered on this thread. we really advise looking at the negative ones. What you are likely to find on most is many good reviews as most reviews are done very soon after purchase and the improvement ebacs can make on your home are impressive, but there is a downside! we write this as we feel it is good for people to know what they are getting into and what to expect as far as our experiences go.

PRO'S
- From the get go you are likely to be very impressed at how it can make your house feel a bit warmer, prob have the heating down a degree or two as a result.
-At it capabilities to suck water from the air (although extraction could be better)
-that it does not look ugly
-best of all your things keep better , especially books as the air has less moisture.
-less condensation in the winter.
-Can have a five year warranty purchased.
-Can be repaired multiple times under the warranty, and most likely will be!

CONS
-These machines may have used to be built to last but they are in no way built to last now, they are looked after very well by us and last about a season, we don't use them in the summer months. Over and over again with different machines, over all they do last literally a few months before fault of some kind.
