This is the best time-teaching clock i've seen.It is completely silent as the second hand glides around the clock rather than ticking.
It is very simply and clearly laid out,and my autistic 8 year old son was telling the time accurately within a week.It is very easy for a child to read.
He can now tell the time from any clock, even roman numerals, after only a few weeks of using this clock.
We temporarily replaced our kitchen clock with this one to give my son as many opportunities to read the time as possible, rather than hide it away in his room where we wouldn't see it very often
Highly recommended.

Bought this for my 5year old daughter and it is lovely, colourful, silent and of good quality. It has so much detail, minutes, seconds etc and the different colours make it easier to learn from as my daughter knows now the green side is PAST and red side TO. Great for girls and boys. Would definately recommend!

I ordered this on the Sunday evening and it was with me Tuesday morning and it's GREAT. It doesn't have an annoying ticking, it's slimline and light, the design isn't overly cluttered so as to make the face unclear and the child confused about what (s)he should be looking at but most of all it's going to make actually teaching my son to tell the time really easy. I've already told all my friends about it and I'll speak to my son's school when he starts.

We bought this clock in January and made the mistake of hanging a little too high. There's a glare from the ceiling light that stopped my little ones bring able to make out what the clock was showing. We've just recently resolved this and it had had an immediate effect on my two little girls. My youngest has just turned 5 and can now easily read the time. I had bought the clock based on other positive reviews and just figured the girls were not interested in learning about telling the time. Even when my eldest started learning about it at school, I couldn't understand why she didn't use the clock more to help her with the homework. The penny didn't drop until I got done down to their eye level/height and looked up at the clock and noticed the glare. Once it was repositioned, there was massive interest in telling the time and even a little competition between the 5&6 year old's. I wholeheartedly recommend this clock and caution anyone purchasing it to check for glare when deciding where to hang it up.

I bought 2 of these clocks one for each of my children. I'll start by saying they are brilliant for learning to tell the time, they look great and are easy to read. One of them is perfect and totally silent the other one however makes a loud clicking/ticking sound that disturbed my son during the night, wish I'd got 2 silent ones!

I ordered this for a friend of mine to help teach her son, who is 7, how to tell the time as the clock in their house made it hard for him to understand. He had been taught how to tell the time in school but was still unable to grasp the whole 'minutes past' and 'minutes to' way of reading a clock.
Using the simple instructions provided and some help he was quickly able to read out what time it was. A few days later and he was able to tell the time without any prompting!
The instructions that came with the clock were clear and simple making it very easy for parents to help their children.
The clock itself is excellent! Bright and colourful and the marking of the number areas means the child is never stuck as to what number 'zones' the hands are pointing to. A simple yet very effective system of telling the time.
Takes a single AA battery. The seconds hand doesn't judder every second like the majority of clocks but instead smoothly moves around. Silent too.
The clock now hangs in the livingroom of my friend's home and her son has no problems at all knowing what time it is. Not bad at all when you consider she's only had it for FOUR DAYS!
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clock if your child has difficulty in understanding how to tell the time.
I wish I'd had something like this when I was a child!!!!

4 star just because of the price. But my 7 year old who had always struggled just 'got it' within minutes. So nice to see the minutes counting backwards towards 12 (40, 35, 30) which is so much more intuitive. And the little hand is pointing to the hours when so many have the hours at the edge where the big hand points. The colours don't add much to it so it could be toned down a bit I guess, but it's a lovely silent clock.
