95% of the recipes I've used in this book have been real winners! My friends love them too and 3 friends have bought this book as a consequence of me cooking for them. Extremely tasty and interesting. Have to disagree with other reviewer and thought the Fish Mollee was brilliant - so tasty and interesting and ridiculously quick to make. The rice was the longest part of this meal! Really pays to have a heavy based casserole for on the hob for a lot of the recipes but you can get by without. Brilliant book - recommend to everyone, particularly those who do not have the time, knowledge, or interest in being inventive on their own.

This is a really useful and reasonably priced addition to anyone's cook book collection with a good selection of simple everyday recipes either for families or just for a couple without a list of ingredients a mile long...most of the ingredients you probably already have in the cupboard. The recipes are easy to follow and there are clear colourful pictures illustrating each recipe. Thoroughly recommend this book.

Have tried a few of these recipes now and have had a succession of poor results.

The Fish Mollee was particularly poor....way too much butter, didn't suggest clarifying it, suggested frying all spices together in butter...just poor basic cookery suggestions. Any good Indian recipe would never suggest this.

Given this I actually doubt whether these recipes have been tested before inclusion.

Dare not try any more...will stick to names I trust in future.
