Product Description

Book Description

A wonderful collection of simple wholesome recipes from the bestselling author of Vegetable Growing Month by Month and his wife.

About the Author

John Harrison has been growing fruit and vegetables for over 30 years, with his wife Val making jams and other preserves from the surplus of that harvest for the same period. In 2004 they started www.allotment.org.uk which is now the largest and most popular website on allotments and vegetable growing. As vegetable growers hate waste, they were soon asked to include recipes for jam making on their website – in no time at all they had compiled enough recipes for a book.

If it's your first foray into jams, preserves or chutneys, this is the ideal book to use.

It's informative and the recipes are very easy to follow.

I now have several shelves of jams and chutneys, made from homegrown produce so I'll be enjoying them until it's time to make some more.

This is not just another preserve book, of which I have several, but all the recipes are tried and tested by the Harrisons, their friends and relatives. I have so far tried several of the recipes and they are very good.

The handy size is good too as it doesn't take all the room up on your worktop!

John Harrison is a very down to Earth author, who knows how to connect with his public! Looking forward to more books from you Mr Harrison!!

Great little book , tried many recipes with a few disasters but hey, that's part of the fun of growing your own and producing homemade products off the land. A must for any keen allotmenteer who always has a bin full of produce left at the end of the season but hasn't a clue what to do with it.
