I'd bought a different pill storage box a few days before this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001TAV0WC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) and found it to be very inadequate, size-wise. So I tried this one from RDK Mobility. I see from others' comments that there have been discrepancies with the photo v. the product received. I bought mine from in Sept 2015 and I'm very pleased with it. I've photographed it and measured it for you as I think that would be helpful.

As shown, the internal measurements of each compartment are:
31mm wide
43mm deep maximum
23mm high

The overall external measurements are: 230mm wide x 50mm deep maximum x 26mm high.
In the last 2 compartments I've added some supplements just to help you get an idea of how large this is. These are 10x Biocare Mega EPA capsules and 13x Quest Vitamin C 1000mg timed release tablets.

You need to give the lids a bit of a push for them to stay closed but that will be simple to do for most people. I haven't travelled with them yet so cannot say if they'll keep the contents safe and separated. The compartments are not suitable for liquids! The text is clear and large.

UPDATE
I've been travelling with this now and wasn't overly confident that the lids would stay closed so I used one of these strong and large X-bands (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0031RG2G0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) that I already had available, and they do a perfect job. So I'm sorry but I ducked out of experimenting to see if the lids would pop open and my 70 pills would get jumbled up! Instead I went for the better-to-be-safe-than-sorry approach ;)

I've ordered these in the past and they have been great, The latest one I ordered has a different design to the previous ones (and not the design in the picture) Where the lids used to just clip in to the the containers with a little push there is now a hook and clasp type mechanism that makes closing the lids difficult as it requires a fair amount of pressure to snap it in to place and also makes opening the lid difficult as you have only a small little clip to push against instead of the whole of that days lid, could be problematic if you're not very strong or dextrous.

I bought this for my granny who has been complaining about her little pill box and about the fact that she always has to remember whether to take a pill Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays... "Or was it Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays?". She was very delighted when I gave her this dispenser and was wondering why she hadn't thought of buying one herself. She finds the big compartments very helpful and also the fact that the lids are easy to open. The only thing she was displeased by at first were the letters. She was asking me how she was supposed to know if T meant Tuesday or Thursday and if S meant Sunday or Saturday, although the order was clear. But she got accustomed to that!

This pill organiser is good quality. large compartments hold several very large capsules. Lids open and close easily for me but I am fit and able. Good value.

This 7 day tablet holder is really useful, but perhaps not for everybody.

It contains 7 compartments, each labelled with a large letter representing the day of the week (running Sunday to Saturday, rather than Monday to Sunday). The compartments click shut reasonably firmly. I have never had one open accidentally. Opening the compartments is fine for me, but I am fully mobile and do not have shaky hands etc. I can well imagine those with poor grip or co-ordination struggling, the result being that a day's worth of pills end up on the floor. The worst I have managed was launching a really tiny tablet out of the container when opening it - I did this a few times, as it's easily done.

My other main issue with this holder is that an entire day's worth of pills are in one container. That means that if you have pills where some are taken in the morning, some with lunch, some in the afternoon and some in the evening, you have to (a) remember which are which, (b) be able to distinguish them, and (c) be able to fish out just the ones that you want (I tip out the entire lot into my hand and then put the ones for later back in the container again). If you have a poor memory, lack of dexterity, poor eyesight, or simply tablets that cannot be held together, then this container may not be for you. I do not fall into any of those categories, but when I had multiple tablets to take per day for a short period recently, even I decided to get a different pill holder, where the pills are divided not just by day, but by time of day, and with a place to keep details of the pills.

So, if you want a simple seven-day pill holder, and have good dexterity, eyesight, memory etc, then this is a really good value holder that may suit you. For many people though, I can imagine a different holder that splits pills by time of day, and gives you somewhere to keep details of the pills, could work better.

Recommended, with caveats.

Fine and as advertised. Clear letters, large compartments etc.. However, I think the lids open a little too easy which makes it unpractical if you take it on a trip every now and again. Likewise, a large dispenser would benefit if each day was divided into two compartments. This doesn't.
