It is just a different world using this TV as monitor.
My old GC is huge and barely fit my PC with a mm to spare. I made noise and took 2 extra power source to work. This is so light and small. It was the easiest thing to install. It was well protected. All the exposed connection were covered with plastic. It has HDMI 2, DVI and also Display Port which will give me even a better picture and video quality if I could connect it to the TV but my TV does not have display port connection.
I highly recommend getting a 4K TV and this for your desktop if you do not have one and you will not regret it.
The 970 FTW is a high end version which at the time of writing this was £291. I needed a card with 2 DVI ports and two 6 pin power sockets to fit my system requirements. I could have gone for a SSC version but I'd have needed display port cables, and EVGA website reckons the FTW as a higher performance card anyway.
Unigine Valley benchmark was run to see how the card would cope with my two Ultra-sharp monitors, and on the ultra setting I scored a FPS of 27.4 using the out of the box settings. In my opinion that's awesome, as it would have been even better for a single screen or if I had dialed up the clock speeds etc. Beautiful images, no jitters and the card temperature just about reached 50c and the ACX fans were running around 50% (still quiet).
I could have also bought a mid-range 970 SC for about £260 which was an attractive price, but I have the feeling that the best card of any range will always satisfy the nerd level in your bloodstream (and worth the extra £30). My suggestion to anyone looking at GPUs, choose a good quality brand, research the models in the range (as there is a surprising amount of 970s) and make sure your system will fit the GPU requirements and the card will physically fit into your system. Fitting them is a piece of cake! If like me you have capped your budget to the levels of a 970, you won't be disappointed. Also at the time of writing, 970 and 980 GPUs came with an included game which if you bought separately would cost around £50. Sweet!
Now, a GPU won't perform on it's own, so it's worth knowing this was combo'd with a MSI Z170 Gaming M7 motherboard, Intel i5 6600k processor and 16GB of 3200 DDR4 RAM. It runs WOW on High at a steady 65-90fps, with slight drops to 40 in highly populated areas. On Ultra it can run absolutely fine in non-populated zones, again sometimes hitting 70-80fps, though once you get somewhere very busy that will drop under 30 at times, which isn't optimal. Tweaking settings you can probably play in Ultra with some bits turned down at a good FPS return. Also bare in mind this was on a 35inch 2560x1080 monitor... If it was a standard 1920x1080 I'm sure it could process even more frames for you.
The card ran very quiet and after 2 hours of gaming only capped at about 57-60 degrees. I have a 460W 80+ certified power supply running the build and it manages to give this card and the rest of the system enough juice, easy.
Aesthetically, the card is quite big and looks really nice, EVGA have done great on the design and the backplate is a premium touch to such a good value card.
Overall, the bang for buck is excellent. I purchased at £169, and for High settings in almost all titles at 1080p, I really can't complain. Will upgrade in future once Pascal settles, but for the moment I would definitely recommend the 960.
Have fun gaming! If I can answer any questions let me know :) Thanks!

It took me about a month to find this out, i thought i had a faulty card due to daily driver crashes & BSOD's & i almost returned it for refund but it is the newest drviers that causes the issues, the one on the disc works just fine. EVGA Precision X is worth installing too, as it the Benchmarking program included on disc.
Good card by the way & very good for the price,, it runs much quieter than i expected it would & never seems to get hotter than 55 although i don't really use it for gaming.
