Of all of Nvidia's recently released gpus, this card is the best value for money. The performance is on par with a gtx 1070 and handles any game with ease. If you're looking for 1080p/1440p gaming at 60fps this is a fantastic card. I own a Skylake I5 6400 2.7gh(3.3ghz) and 8gb of ram yet i have been able to run any of today's games at the highest settings. Any frames i do drop tend to be bottlenecks from my cpu or ram and i'm sure when i upgrade the rest of my pc results will improve.
Benchmarks at ultra:
Assassin's Creed Odyssey - 55 fps (Everything on ultra except clouds)
CSGO - 200+ fps
Rocket league - 200+ fps
Total war: Three Kingdoms - 60 fps
Metro Exodus - 45 fps (Any stutters or frame dips were the other components of my pc not meeting the requirements)
Hellblade - 60 fps (v-sync on and gpu usage only at about 70%)
State of Decay 2 - 60 fps (other than high up on buildings where it drops to 45 strangely)
Gears 5 tech test - more or less a locked 60 fps with everything maxed out in both benchmarks and gameplay
At 1440p i can achieve similar fps by dropping my settings to high so it is great for entry level 1440p without spending £300+. You can easily achieve a stable 60fps in any game just by turning down some useless details such as putting shadows to medium. If you are on a budget i struggle to see what else is a better option. At this price it won't break the bank so you can enjoy a year of playing games maxed out or the next few years at medium/high before you upgrade again. I'm personally planning to keep this until the end of next year as the current rtx series is seriously overpriced. With the next gen consoles having ray tracing plus AMD looking to compete, prices should drop and become more competitive sometime next year. i recommend the 1660 ti over the standard 1660 because you gain roughly 10 frames in game you play and as you can see from the benchmarks those 10 frames really make a difference. On a side note any game prior to 2019 runs at 60+. Only the most demanding ones tank it to 50-60. This is a great card to enjoy 1440p single player games but also to hit 144fps for competitive games.
